Would be wonderful but really have to question the quality of the reporting here....first of all the headline makes it sound like a fact that UWM and MKE and Oak Creek have partnered....the city of Oak Creek has not approved anything yet and on top of that Zimmerman makes it sound like still shopping for a city to help finance this venture....could be a pipe dream but we will see....why report as fact when it appears to be yet more conjecture and postering on his part (ie the whole Franklin Don Quixote talke)!!!

Actually, if this is the location that was proposed a few months ago, it will be visible from 794 (not 94). The location is at the intersection of College and Pennsylvania (which is currently 794). If the 794 freeway is ultimately extended as is planned, it will run on the other side of the complex along the railroad tracks. Although in Oak Creek, that corner is the intersection among three cities (Oak Creek, South Milwaukee and Cudahy). I agree that this doesn't sound like a done deal yet. The Rock owner originally wanted to build this in Franklin at the Rock location but was looking for city financing to do it. Franklin declined which led to the Oak Creek location. He has asked them for financing as well which hasn't been decided upon yet. If it becomes reality, this will be a great step forward for the baseball team and the athletic department as a whole in its effort to (correctly, in my opinion) market its teams as community ones as opposed to just university teams. It also creates a better connection between the university and the south side.
