Good win tonight.
For a while it had that look of us blowing a big lead but I was happy to see the Panthers clamp down and grab the W!

Joke of the night. I wonder who their captain is, because he would be Captain Kangaroo!
I like the scheduling of these up tempo press teams, it helps to see 3-4 times before we play Cleveland St. Tiby had his best games this season IMO, even with the turnovers. It looked like every time the Roos pushed us to play fast and make bad decisions, we were able to pull it back together.

Joke of the night. I wonder who their captain is, because he would be Captain Kangaroo! And when they do something against the team rules, they have to pay the fine to the Kangaroo Court! That was a really first-rate win against a Rick Pitino disciple who's getting his system instituted. So far, Steve McWhorter is a first-team all-league player!

Steve has been everything you would want from a senior point guard. He has been outstanding so far this season. UMKC was really, really physical with him yesterday -- I thought the officials were far too lenient about it -- but he wouldn't back down and in the second half he just took over. Cody Wichmann also played an excellent game.
Good win.
Should be interesting to see what we look like against DePaul. We certainly have to be stronger with the ball, and we will need more production out of JJ and Akeem, at least on the glass and on defense.

Panoske had some terrific blocks in this game.

UWM won the boards so it's not too important

But we do need more than that out of J.J. He is 6-11, after all.

If he's out on the perimeter he won't get rebounds, and considering we have good post-up guards I don't have a problem with that kind of offense. McWhorter and Springs are averaging 11 rebounds between them. Besides, this is a learning year.

Besides, this is a learning year. In order to get any good non-conference draws outside of the Badgers, we had better learn through winning.
