No surprise.
The team will be very challenged from 3-point range this season without him unless Akeem starts finding his stroke.
Good luck and get well soon!

Not surprised due to the injury and the APR ban. He seemed pretty positive in his interview with Brainerd on the Rob Jeter Show about being able to play this year. Seems to be taking one for the program but could be smart for all parties.

Everyone thought it, everyone said it. It's a smart move by Austin and the team

I'm very disappointed Austin made this decision but it's his to make. Still, it's going to be tough sitting on the bench in February when his teammates are fighting for a championship.

A foolish rationale, but whatever. We'll play with the guys who are willing.

My god are you trolling your own board? A regular season championship? You went 10-22 in conference play the last 2 years and and have now lost your best 3 players from last year. Did you miss the IUPUI game? They won 6 games last year, have 4 transfers sitting out this year, their only productive player transferred, and yet you lost to them on your own floor. One of the worst losses in the Jeter era, and that's saying something. Interesting to see how this redshirt turns out. Maybe he'll have a huge year as a 5th year senior, however the scary thing is it could be for someone else as a grad school transfer. That has become all too common these days. If Arians sitting out leads to Jeter getting fired after the season, it could be the best move for Milwaukee since the hiring of Bruce Pearl.
