It's two months before the start of the season and this board is deader than a doornail.
Between the state of the program and the state of the league, it's easy to see why.
Anyway, the difference between 2004 and today is so staggering that it's worth a mention.

What's the goal for the season? 10 wins? 12? .500? My, how things have changed.

I thought there would be more buzz about the Panthers moving back to the Cell.
I'm shocked that there has been only two people who have said anything about how they feel about the Panther Excellence Fund for buying season-tickets for the three highest price points.

I think its more because of a couple other aspects. Such as that summertime activity on most message boards decreases especially when the school year ends. Once the school year begins, activity should start to pick up a bit and secondly, with the ever-increasing usage of social media these days, message boards all around the web are seeing a drop off in activity and people signing up for them. While success or lack there of has impacted fans posting activity, its not the only reason why things have dropped of.

I'm shocked that there has been only two people who have said anything about how they feel about the Panther Excellence Fund for buying season-tickets for the three highest price points. I think its great idea!! I had no problems cutting a check for the extra $250. I mailed my season ticket order form a day after I received it. It's a fantastic university, and I think its a good idea to give back something to a place I love. I also believe that Amanda Braun will take Milwaukee's athletic program to the next level. The move back to the Cell was a start, and I hope a new baseball facility is in Milwaukee's near future. With that said, I expect to get the same seats that I've had for the last 13 years.....especially since I stuck with the program last year and continued to be a season ticket holder at the KC. Loyalty better be worth something! Two of my triplets will also attend Milwaukee in the fall and they can't wait to start college. With the right leadership and $$$$ generated from donations, both big and small, UWM will continue to be an institution of academic and athletic excellence. I'm happy to donate to the Panther Excellence Fund!

Me Too!!! Just mailed in my season ticket renewals and more than happy to pay the Excellence Fed!!! Can't wais for the reason to start and nice schedule shaping up. All is good. If the team looks better this year that is going to be a huge help. Lets think long term. Brighter days ahead and we have a solid new AD on board that should be here for a while. Steve

Less than 50 days before the start of practice and this board is a complete snoozefest.
Paging Ed McCants, Boo Davis, Joah Tucker, Chris Hill, Adrian Tigert and Bruce Pearl.

Paul I think we have to allow Panther fans a little slack. Coming off a last place HL finish, 8 and 24 and the Klotsche debacle it is not like there are high expectations or really cool things or players to get excited about. Hopefully, next year we can get a solid footing, kind of a recovery year where our attendance gets back or starts getting back to where it was our last year at the Cell before going to the KC. It seemed like there was more energy in the building a few more fannies in the seats but the move back to the KC really tanked everything but we will recover. At this point unless we see something different out of Jeter and his current new group of players hard to project them as conference title contenders so what do we talk about other than the move back to the Cell at this point?? I do like the schedule so far I must say but beyond that where is the mojo on this team either in colorful exciting players or coaches? Maybe that will come but at this point.......... ?? Steve

Its been 7 months since I've posted on this board, and even longer since I've typed "WAR PANTHERS!!". I still check in though, typically weekly, but this board has really quieted down since I've joined.
That being said, its time for me to shake off the rust and start getting excited for Panther basketball again. I've been itching for board members to start posting projections as to starting line-ups as well as scouting reports on our new incoming players (I know almost nothing about our newcomers). If someone could get the ball rolling it would be much appreciated.

PREDICTION: Trinson White will light it up on both sides of the ball and turn this team around. JJ Panoske will play a big part too.

Steve, I'm not even remotely unhappy with our fans.
I'm merely expressing the obvious degree to which our program has declined.
And you really like what you've seen of the schedule?

I've been periodically lurking (which I generally do during the summer), and I too have noticed what a dead zone this board is becoming. If I could, I'd draw a tumbleweed here. I don't blame anyone for the drop-off--it's hard to be enthusiastic right now given both the state of the Panthers and the HL as a whole. It sucks when my two favorite sports are doing poorly (although things are looking a bit up for men's soccer).

I for one am glad they've moved back to the Cell. I intend to buy a season ticket. I'm not all that optimistic about the upcoming season but I'm not all that pessimistic either. Let's see what happens
