I wonder what Dan Majerle is getting paid at GCU and if he'd answer the phone. Granted GCU had an easy schedule, but dude won 25 games at a for profit religious school new to D1. Crazy.

Both Steve Forbes and Jason Shay were connected to the area where I grew up in Iowa. Forbes has an impressive resume, but why would he go from a school like East Tennessee after one year to a school like UWM? Aside from all his midwest connection, is there a Milwaukee connection he has?

Pearl disciples. Great.
Could this get any worse? Which high school coaches should we be talking to?

Pearl disciples. Great. Could this get any worse? Which high school coaches should we be talking to? Forbes could have been National Coach of the Year and Fran would dump on him. He's much more qualified than was Jeter in '05, but who cares about that when antipathy towards his former boss rules the day.

I would love Billy Donlon but that probably has no chance.

With everything our program has to contend with, the next coach needs at least to be someone that has absolute, unassailable integrity (like Rob, btw) and no connection whatsoever to questionable practices. Bruce's actions put a cloud on his assistants; it may not be fair, but we cant afford yet another misstep. If she's going to look in that direction I sure as hell hope there are independent, powerful people involved who know how to vet candidates to a faretheewell.
Maybe Andy Geiger is available. I kid.

What's the expectation for a new coach?
Within 3 or 4 years he should have 25 wins and a tourney appearance?
I mean 25 wins shouldn't be all that hard now anyway. Considering the tourney committee really doesn't care about the mid-majors, despite what they say about non-con scheduling. So you might as well schedule all the 300+ RPI schools you can.
