Any rumors about who UIC is lookng at? At what promises to be twice his annual income, is this perhaps a landing spot for Wardle?

Might I suggest Howard Moore as a replacement for Rob Jeter? He's available. Could start tomorrow if needed. Has the Wisconsin connection being an alum and coaching under Bo Ryan and now has D1 experience...... Familiar with the conference................ Takers? Totally unrelated but these are the reasons given when we hired Amanda Braun over Paul Plinske - familiar with the conference, Division I experience, Wisconsin connection. Just interesting, nothing to read into there.

Wardle would be my #1 choice if I'm UIC. Kelderman has worked out nicely for men's soccer here. Wardle would do well at UIC.

I mean, Purnell was head coach of a good Clemson program, so they may go for another high major. You may not consider UIC a good job, but they'd be able to double Wardle's salary and he's a Chicago guy. Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards

What's a lousy job today is a terrific job tomorrow. It can all change in a flash with the right coach.
Now, is Wardle the right coach?

Sent from my SCH-R970 using proboards I think the UIC job is a great opportunity for someone looking to move up, but it's not a move up for Wardle. Make the move for an extra $170,000? That's chump change compared to what he'd get at a high major. He's much younger than Tod, Wardle can wait for the perfect job. It will be interesting to see who UIC gets. They can't do worse than Moore.

they could do worse than Moore, which is a scary thought.

Again, this guy has no wins of note in a conference or postseason tournament. As a matter of fact, he barely has any wins at all (three in five years). For comparison's sake, Rob Jeter had four in one year, all but one away from home.

I firmly believe UIC's problem is administrative. I don't think Moore is a bad coach.

I firmly believe UIC's problem is administrative. I don't think Moore is a bad coach. They were a terribly disorganized bunch. The administration doesn't coach the team. Their problems were on the court. Moore had no business even being considered for that job. They did the Badgers a huge favor though. Moore was a trainwreck recruiter for the Badgers. I get why your talking him up now though. He'll be a Panther assistant soon.

Sharif Chambliss hasn't led me to believe he's going anywhere, and Duffy Conroy and Chad Boudreau have raised families here. How long have your assistants been there?
