According to hoopscooponline.com, Korie has taken over Erwing Walker from Middle Village (Christ the King) NY for the top spot for the 2008 class. Has there ever been a time when a Wisconsin highschooler has been rated in the top 10 nationally by any recruiting publication? Is Korie playing for Whitefish Bay or King this year?

I may be just guessing here, but wasn't Joe Wolf among the top 10 when he was at Kohler?

I believe you're right that Wolf was top ten. In some publications, Sam Okey and Brian Butch were top ten as well.
But, having seen Korie play, he's got one hell of a future ahead of him. As young as he is, he's already a pretty complete player.

Brian Butch is the only High School player in state history to be:
1st Team All-USA Today 1st Team (10 players) John Wooden All-American * finalist for the Wooden National Player of the Year
Brian, Sam and Joe were all Parade All-Americans.
According to all the archives of the major scouting services and publications, the highest any Wisconsin player has ever been ranked was Brian Butch in 2003 at #3 by Clark Francis and the Hoopscooponline.com.
Korie is a special kid and a gifted athlete. His #1 ranking is the first as far as I know for any Wisconsin player ever.
Jerry Smith has been in the Top 10 as well in some major lists.

ok I just want to say that not having seen Korrie play, I have to say that the hype for this kid is unreal. To be honest I think Okey was the best high school player ever in this state. No one has ever dominated a game the way he did....but where is Korrie going to school again?
