Ok how the hell is it illegal to take your helmet off in celebration AFTER a play but it's legal to voluntarily take your helmet off DURING a play?

I doubt that it is legal, but in the middle of the game, the refs aren't looking for something as crazy as that and likely didn't see it. After a play, the celebration is the only thing going on, so all eyes are on that player.

Matthews was pretty pissed that the Vikings were getting away with all the facemasks and hands-to-the-face calls. Thankfully they called the really obvious one.
Really, that was one of the worst-officiated games ever. They kept blowing boundary call after boundary call -- the Harvin "touchdown," the Collins "personal foul," the second Harvin "touchdown" -- plus the Shiancoe TD/non-TD, which is a blown call whether you thought the catch should have counted and they screwed it up in replay or you thought it wasn't a catch and they missed it on the field.

Ugly, ugly Packer game. But it was a win and no one got injured, so I guess that's all that matters. I can't help but wonder if Favre will play next week against the Pats. He was hobbling pretty bad after the game.

Matthews' chinstrap got pushed up into his nose, and was slipping up toward his eyes when he pulled it off. I doubt he would have wanted to keep it on when it was blinding him.

Just can't say enough about today's defensive game-planning and execution against the Jets. Hats off to the entire coaching staff and all the players.

Packers D played well, no doubt but the Jets screwed themselves over on a handful of occassions to help out as well. I can't stand Rex Ryan and to show how big of a douchebag he is, he threw his punter under the bus on the fake punt. According to fat ass, the punter decides if it'll be a fake or not...not the ST coach, not the HC, just the punter...wow...
