I’m guessing this is unlikely to start a chain reaction that would impact Milwaukee and/or the Horizon League? I’m guessing that the A10 isn’t necessarily desperate to get back to 15 teams. If they are, would they consider an MVC program like Bradley to get up to 15 again? They are a private institution, about equidistant between Loyola and St. Louis, they have been good in basketball for a while, and they lack a football team. Obviously, any impact to the MVC would likely impact the Horizon League in some way.
I’m just spitballing here.

UTRGV is moving to the Southland Conference in time for the 2024-25 season. Addition by subtraction for WAC basketball.

UTRGV is moving to the Southland Conference in time for the 2024-25 season. Addition by subtraction for WAC basketball. The WAC is a WACky league. They had big time football aspirations a few years back and poached the Southland Conference, only to have Sam Houston go to CUSA after one year, Lamar go back to the Southland after one really bad year, and now UTRGV is leaving right before they start competing in football. It could be a really fun basketball league with programs like SFA, GCU, and CBU, but for UTRGV it's not a good fit, especially with their focus being on football.
