Be prepared to see Sam Dekker in the top 3 of his class in Mark Miller's next rankings. Sorry, Mark, had to do it

Didn't Bobby Knight recruit Damon Bailey in 8th grade? I'm pretty sure that's when he gave Knight a verbal.

I couldn't help but chuckle a little bit at this quick hitter;
"Iowa and Oregon State are the latest high-major NCAA Division I schools to extend scholarship offers to Merrill senior Paul Jesperson, the top-ranked class of 2011 prospect in Wisconsin in the WisSports.net Player Rankings. "
On a side note, that brings Jesperson to what, like 34 scholarship offers?

www.wissports.net/sports/hoopsb/blog/message.aspx?f=123&id=1168940We are looking at Zak Showalter from Germantown. I saw him as a Freshman when G-town beat Vincent to go to state. I haven't seen him since but I really like his game. As you would expect from a coaches kid he is a heady ball player. Also we have a connection here because his dad Steve played at Plateville under Bo and with Rob for a year or two.

By Mark Miller wishoops.net
Rice Lake junior Wally Ellenson has received a scholarship offer from new Illinois-Chicago coach Howard Moore. Ellenson has scholarship offers from Duquense, Green Bay, Milwaukee, Northern Illinois and Saint Louis in addition to the new offer from Illinois-Chicago.
I would expect a lot more of this in the future.

Showalter, Arians set up several unofficial visits By Mark Miller wishoops.net
Germantown junior Zak Showalter and Madison Edgewood junior Austin Arians plan to take unofficial visits to several colleges in the coming weeks, Wisconsin Swing coach Justin Litscher said Friday. Showalter (6-2) worked out in open gyms recently for coaches from Milwaukee and South Dakota State, and he plans to take an unofficial visit to Green Bay on Sunday and North Dakota State next Saturday. North Dakota State has offered Showalter a scholarship. Arians (6-6) plans to visit North Dakota State with Showalter and also will take an unofficial visit to Northern Iowa on October 2. Litscher, who coaches both Showalter and Arians on the travel-team circuit with the Swing, said coaches from Creighton, Loyola, Miami (Ohio), Princeton and Yale have also expressed interest in watching Showalter in an open-gym session this fall.

As mentioned elsewhere and hinted at above, Milwaukee has offered Onalaska's Nick Arenz, a 6'8", 210-pound power forward (sound familiar?). Here's his ESPN.com profile. He's rated 86 and 2 stars. Other offers include Green Bay, Lafayette, South Dakota, South Dakota State, and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi. According to Rivals, Wisconsin has also expressed interest.

Sign him, redshirt him. Especially if, like Kelm, interest starts to drop off because of the injury and you can steal one right from under everyone's nose.
