Buffalo St 31 30 61 Final Buffalo 42 54 96 *Good win for a good mid major program. I assume this is a rivalry win. Toledo 29 44 73 Final South Carolina 50 35 85 *Toledo isnt what it use to be. Chicago St. 19 33 52 Final Ohio St. 40 41 81 *CSU within 30 of a Big Ten School! Texas Southern 22 32 54 Final Wichita St. 44 42 86 *I love the MVC. Detroit 32 29 61 Final Drake 32 37 69 *JIMMY THIS SCORE IS FOR YOU! Note, a bottom feeder of the MVC beats the top of the HL. This is why we wont get 3 teams in, not even 2. Dont expect it for many years. Denver 28 16 8 52 Final Ill. Chicago 20 24 4 48 OT *Our Conference S-U-C-K-S. Western Carolina 20 26 46 Final Northern Iowa 37 31 68 *MVC knows how to win. Over Thanksgiving Break I will post my third annual MVC/MAC vs. Horizon League comparison. It will be updated once at the end of the non-conference season. Later, UWMfreak

Hey Freak I agree are conference is pretty bad, but in defense to our lose Denver's center is a freak on the glass. I think he had 8 blocks and he set a school record for most career blocks with 130 now 137. The say this kid has a chance of making it to the pro's. But still UIC should have won just played poorly at the end of the game. But we out rebounded them by about 30. In fact this whole UIC team seems to love the glass since we were on it all throughout the tourney. But lets face it this conference is going to have problems all year long. Except for UWM and maybe LU. Denver 28 16 8 52 Final Ill. Chicago 20 24 4 48 OT *Our Conference S-U-C-K-S.

Also in defense, Denver was favored to win by sportsbook.

UIC's done a pretty good job for the HL...they knocked off the favorite in the Mountain West and in the Big Sky, and just fell short of knocking off one of the faves in the Sun Belt.
If you want to say the conference sucks, don't direct your talk to UIC yet....we didn't lose to Florida A & M, we didn't lose to Belmont, we didn't lose to Drake, and we didn't lose to St. Francis....
We were cold last night...shot 26% from the field....you guys know exactly what happens when you shoot like that.
UIC is going to be better than everyone thinks this year....7th place? Please....
Jeffers is just warming up....and tons of people are contributing. The scary thing is that Stefanov, Poole, and White (our key guys this year) were not the main factors in Alaska....White barely played, Stefanov played sparingly, and Poole was fighting asthma. Now all we have to do is take care of the D2 team on our schedule next week. ;D
By the way, whoever said we should try to get 3 teams a year in the tourney....not gonna happen. Look at the teams our league is losing to. And the addition of YSU only hurt our chances of competing for spots every year....way to go Lecrone....

That comment was not directed to UIC, rather the entire Horizon League. Sorry folks.
The best scenario for returning the HL to greatness is to have Butler return to its legacy of basketball domination.

Big D, I think most fans of the league are very happy and surprised by UIC's showing in Alaska. I thought Jeffers alone would make you better than UWGB, Butler, Youngstown St, and Cleveland St. I'm really surprised by the play of Robert Bush, who wasn't even on my radar coming into this year. I completely agree three teams in the NCAA is impossible, but I think we have a shot of getting at least one and maybe two teams in the NIT. Anyways congrats to UIC on a good showing. P.S. Leave our cheerleaders alone I think they have improved a lot this year, they actually do stuff now. I thought the UWM Cheerleader with that guy from the Goonies head was hilarious...

I think you're right Art....I think we can expect another year of one team in the NCAA (clearly, I expect UWM to be representing again). I also think two teams in the NIT is possible...maybe UIC....maybe LU....maybe Detroit? Realistically, I would like to see 2 teams get to the NCAA but for the HL to get that, our teams need a minimum of 20 wins to get in....as an at-large, it'll take more than that. By the way, glad you liked the cheerleader....Anything photoshopped with Sloth is bound to be funny....

Based on early returns, there is no way UIC will be close to seventh place this year. Try fourth or fifth. If you're looking for a seventh-place team, try looking up the road about 120 miles. (Cleveland St. and Youngstown likely will break their fall).
