Wright State suspends two guards accused of shoplifting Nov. 8, 2005 DAYTON, Ohio -- Two Wright State basketball players accused of shoplifting movies from a suburban store were suspended Tuesday by coach Paul Biancardi.
Tyrone Scott, a junior guard who transferred from Schoolcraft (Mich.) Community College, and Robert Eldridge, a freshman guard, were suspended for the rest of the month. They will miss one exhibition game and four regular-season games.
Scott and Eldridge were arrested by police in Beavercreek on Oct. 31, accused of shoplifting nine DVDs worth $125.42 from a Wal-Mart store, according to a police report.
Both pleaded innocent to charges of criminal theft on Tuesday, according to Fairborn Municipal Court records.
Biancardi said the players told him of their arrests on Friday and have not practiced with the team since.
