someone on Detroit's board is saying he's hearing speculation from w/in their athletic dept. that Bell tore his achilles tendon bowling. www.digitaldestinies.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=2139(TitanThunder's post are the only ones you need to read, he's the one who broke the story)

tore his achilles tendon bowling. That is a new one....... Edit: I don't mean to make light of the situation. If this rumor is true, I feel sorry for him - that is a tough break (no pun intended).

If you don't do it properly ... it is dangerous. Bowling takes a special kind of athlete.

Still no official word, but it sounds like it's true. Definitely a big setback for Detroit. I wonder who their starting backcourt will be now? p.s. Hack, does the American Bowling Congress have some sort of disability plan that it offers its members?

I apologize. United States Bowling Congress[/b] The United States Bowling Congress officially launched Jan. 1, 2005, as the organization to serve amateur adult and youth bowlers in the United States. It resulted from the merger of the American Bowling Congress, Women's International Bowling Congress, Young American Bowling Alliance and USA Bowling. Today, USBC serves more than three million members.

The Dude: Walter, ya know, it's Smokey, so his toe slipped over the line a little, big deal. It's just a game, man. Walter Sobchak: Dude, this is a league game, this determines who enters the next round robin. Am I wrong? Am I wrong? Smokey: Yeah, but I wasn't over. Gimme the marker Dude, I'm marking it 8. Walter Sobchak: [pulls out a gun] Smokey, my friend, you are entering a world of pain. The Dude: Walter... Walter Sobchak: You mark that frame an 8, and you're entering a world of pain. Smokey: I'm not... Walter Sobchak: A world of pain. Smokey: Dude, he's your partner... Walter Sobchak: [shouting] Has the whole world gone crazy? Am I the only one around here who gives a sh*t about the rules? Mark it zero! The Dude: They're calling the cops, put the piece away. Walter Sobchak: Mark it zero! [points gun in Smokey's face] Smokey: Walter... Smokey: [shouting] You think I'm f***ing around here? Mark it zero! Smokey: All right, it's f***ing zero. Are you happy, you crazy f***? Walter Sobchak: ...It's a league game, Smokey.
