I didnt think coaches could comment on potential recruits until they signed...isnt that an NCAA rules infraction?

He signed a while ago.
Even TK said, "There's a lot of pressure on this kid. Let's get him here first."

I only wish we would get press like that here. Tell me the truth, wouldn't you be excited to see an article like that about Childress?
More press=more public interest. That's a good thing, and I don't begrudge them that.

That's a good thing, and I don't begrudge them that. But don't you question the timing? I mean they are probably in their best season since 1996, and he's talking about someone who isn't even there yet. It's kind of a slap in the face to this year's Phoenix that Havel is touting Tillema when he hasn't written one word about this year's team.

Hell, they probably get a column and article everyday up there. I mean, it's Packers off season, so it's not like they have too much to write about.

I agree with Hack. The timing of a column about the program's next great player written during the stretch drive of the previous season is both distracting and strange. Save it for the offseason.

By the way, Nordgaard had "three-point range?" And Kowalczyk has "charisma?" That, too, is wishful thinking.

Paul, your utter and complete hatred of UWGB is clouding the issue. little to write about up there, so they make due with what they have. I'm sure that any "fringe" fans in GB probably look at this as a case of the team being "on the rise". You, and I (and most real UWGB fans) know that this is just a bunch of fluff, but hey: it gets people interested in the program and that does sell papers (allegedly). I really don't care anyway, since once they lose Mendiburu to the NBA, they're going to really struggle. <heavy sarcasm off>

Louie, all I'm saying is that Nordgaard really didn't have consistent three-point range and the poor man's coach K is like George Costanza's mother -- no one's ever seen him smile. Smirk perhaps, but never smile. If that constitutes "charisma," then this is in fact the Summer of George. How's that house coming, by the way?

Believe it or not, work beckoned. Great show, though. I still haven't missed a minute all year.
