How many more scholarships do we have left for next season? Does Wimmer already have a scholarship? So far we have Passley and Ford as our only 2 recruits...we need another 6'8"-6'10" player.
Boo, Wimmer, Passley, McCoy, and Ford will all get plenty of playing time next season.
Ed will easily take over the leadership on the team. I think our whole offense will switch over to focus on the guards and the arch. Wimmer, Passley and McCants can all shoot the 3...what about Boo?
I can see our team switching back to pressing a lot more frequently. We'll definitely be heavy at the pg and sg positions.
Starting 5: PG - Boo? SG - McCants SF - Passley PF - Tucker C - Tigert
Again, we need another good center and maybe even another PG.
Any way, not to get ahead of ourselves.
Bring on Cleveland State! GO MILWAUKEE! Later, UWMfreak

First things first, I usually hate talking about next season when the current season is still going on, but I am sick of taking about how teams are lighting us up from downtown and the Cell disaster. Here are my $0.02
Starting 5: PG - Open / Hill SG - McCants SF - Tucker PF - Tigert C - Ford
rotation: Wimmer, Davis, McCoy, Sanders, Passley (no particular order)
Boo is not a PG, he is a 2/3
From what I have read, Passley is the real deal, but he is only 6-4 and I can't see us with that small of a starting line-up. Passley can not shoot from the outside and struggles from time to time from the stripe.
Ed should get more open looks with Wimmer on the team.
If we do bring in a PG, let's say Fletcher, could he start for us next year at the point.
If there are any coaches that read this board - recruit a scoring PG, it is killing us that Hill has wide open shoots and he can't hit them.

If I did the math right we only have 2 scholarships left for next year, and that includes getting Freeman's back. With only 13 scholarships available, as of right now next year's scholarships are going to:
Hill, Pancratz, Tucker, McCants, Wright, Davis, Tigert, McCoy, Wimmer, Passley and Ford. I believe Sanders is considered a walk-on still because Toledo didn't release him from his scholarship. So that would give us only 2 available if Freeman's is returned.
I would bank on UWM signing a big man and a point guard between now and next August. Picking up another transfer for the following year would be good as well.
Davis is definitely a two-guard and Passley will play behind Joah at the three spot.

Yeah, Ball State was after Anthony for as while. Here's some of the information I had on Anthony before he commited elsewhere. I stop tracking thier progress once a recruit commits elsewhere. 2002 Hoosier Shootout Scouting Report:www.bsufans.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=43&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0Reggie Tisdale of Indiana Basketball News has reported recently that Ball State is actively recruiting Tony. Anthony Passley is a power forward trapped in a shooting guard's body. His work around the basket and utilization of short power drives to the rim is fantastic. Tony is what I have in mind when I talk about the post up skills of big guards. He would eat up most MAC guards in the paint and probably demand a double team. Tony has a respectable face up jump shot, but as with his forward mentality, his first thought when coming off of a pick is to attack the basket instead of shooting a jumper. Tony is a good athlete with fair speed… he has good size for a guard but a little undersized for a forward. I don't want to start unfair comparisons, but when I watch Tony's play near the basket, I am reminded of Chandler Thompson. Circle City Classic 2003 Basketball Showcase:www.circlecityclassic.com/showcase1.aspVarsity starter as freshman and sophomore. Plays much bigger than size. Exceptional rebounder and defender. Fundamentally sound offensive player who can score in the post and with a medium range, jump-shot. Passley averaged 12 points and 9 rebounds per game as a sophomore. Mid to high major prospect. 2004 Indiana All-Star candidate. 2003 Hoosier Shootout:www.bsufans.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=181&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0Another look at Tony Passley – To say Tony had a good week would be an understatement. Tony’s team, the Spiece Blue Devils, won the Hoosier Shootout tourney. Tony was named the MVP of the Hoosier Shootout followed immediately by with another MVP award for his performance in the Kentucky Hoopfest. I fully expect Tony’s recruitment to take off now. His game is very similar to where it was last year except he starts his drives further away from the basket and he has more muscle mass. He has a nice arsenal of moves and releases from about the free throw line and in. I could see Tony tearing up the MAC with some of his skills. Tony is a stereotypical tweener and that is the only thing holding him at the mid major level. If Tony can develop a more dependable three pointer and start more of his drives from out there he could go high major. Tony does not mention Ball State when he talks about his recruitment now.
