the bandwagon starts. im excited, last year i went to most of the games, met people had a blast, this year all my friends who were much too busy to go last year are asking me all sorts of questions about what time and how much it costs to go tonite! everyone jump on the bandwagon. it sucks because im not gonna be in the front row almost every game anymore but its exciting too. look for a lot of students tonite!

i'm very curious to see what kind of student turnout we get. in years past the exhibition games haven't exactly drawn throngs of students... or general fans for that matter.
is 3,000 total a stretch for tonight? i hope not. we should see a significant jump in overall attendance this year.

ha, again all the kids that wouldnt come with me last year are all going tonite. litterally 15-20 people have called asking what the deal was. i would expect a big turnout tonite and tuesday but then i think itll probably die off again until january, but the best part is there is defiantley a ton of excitement on campus for the season to start.

I'm going to be there. Got a divorce and rewarded myself with season tickets this year.
Bringing a friend that happens to be a girl. I refuse to call any of them a "girlfriend".
Probably going to Rock Bottom first, catch some of the Bucks game then over to the Mecca.

Fenske and I were VERY surprised at the Student turnout. We were expectinmg numbers to be similar to those of a home game during winter break, however the student section (standing area) was full and even spilling into the blue folding chairs. Impressive indeed, as well as the amount of cheering and participation. However, IMO, true fans dont leave with more then 2 min to go, no matter the score, team, or game type.... Still one hell of a showing though!
