Wyoming will travel to Milwaukee. Two games in Laramie and one in Milwaukee. "UW-Milwaukee is a recent addition to the schedule and could be the Cowboys' toughest non-conference matchup. The Panthers went to the Sweet 16 last season under coach Bruce Pearl, losing to Illinois. Just about everybody off that team, including seven seniors, returns. The one person who isn't back is Pearl, who cashed in on the Panthers' success by moving to the Southeastern Conference and the Tennessee Volunteers. Rob Jeter is the Panthers' new head coach. Like Southern Illinois, UW has scheduled a two-for-one series with UW-Milwaukee, with two games in Laramie sandwiched around a trip to Milwaukee." www.casperstartribune.net/articles/2005/07/22/sports/715919fad933225b8725704500827520.txt

I'm going to guess that Wyoming is paying us for this arrangement, as I can't see us (or SIU, for that matter) agreeing to a 2 for 1 without compensation.

I think its time to drop out of Bracket Buster if the home/away arrangements are this idiotic. ] The visiting teams are horrid. The schools that will have an RPI over 100 are dominantly home teams.
The top teams in every conference seem to have been selected to host this year (check out the MVC and MAC).
Better hope we pull Bucknell...
We dont need this. Its being filled with low majors, it is not going to help us.
Later, UWMfreak

I suppose the argument would be that the Bracket Buster has become a guaranteed national TV game for the Panthers. But looking at that field, I would have to agree with Freak. The best potential Mid-American opponent is Toledo. The best potential MVC opponent is Illinois St. The best potential WAC oppponent is Louisiana St. Give me a break. Gonzaga pulled out last year and it would appear that UTEP has done the same. It's a bit of a tough call, but look at the conferences that now have representatives. This was initially devised as a showcase for mid-major powers like Gonzaga and Southern Illinois, and now they're allowing teams from the Southland and Big South. Why don't they just invite the Northeast, MEAC and SWAC and be done with it? Give us Bucknell. That appears to be the best of the lot (or at least the most heralded).

Honestly, I could care less that they invite teams from lower conferences. I mean, the best home teams are still paired with the best road teams. I doubt UWM's team this year has to worry about being paired with a team from the Big South.
Now, there may be a problem in who they select for home/away teams, but that has nothing to do with expanding the field....I agree though that they should do a better job in balancing the stength of the home/away teams.
