Not sure if anyone has posted this topic yet, but Portsmouth has already happened and I havent even seen an update on Ed posted anywhere around here. Any further posts about McCants and his hopes in the Draft would be great... I found this great little blurp about not only McCants but Tucker as well from realgm.com; www.realgm.com/src_feature_article/41/20050324/ncaa_tourney_stars_today_nba_stars_tomorrow/The Horizon Conference’s Player of the Year, guard Ed McCants (6-3, 200 lbs.), and forward Joah Tucker (6-5, 220 lbs.) are the guys no one has heard of, and never cared to--until Wisconsin-Milwaukee beat some teams called Alabama and Boston College. He’s a high-scorer (17.5 ppg) and great free-throw shooter (81.6 ft%), but tends to take a lot of wild shots. In their 83-75 victory over BC, McCants wasn’t the leading scorer, Tucker led with 23 points, although McCants netted 12 of his 18 points on 3-pointers that helped keep the lead away from BC. The Panthers’ 83-73 win over Alabama had McCants scoring 15 of his 21 points on 3-pointers. Tucker and McCants both scored 21 points in the victory. McCants is a better ball handler and Tucker has a better shot selection. Both could up their stock with a win over Illinois, but most likely will need to do more to prove to scouts they can play at a higher-level.
