i personally dont know what to think, i think it is good and bad, the good: he will probably want to stay for a while and that brings stability back to our organization, leading to good recrutes.
the bad: i hear taht he likes to play an uptempo game, but isnt quick to fire off that first three.... i love the three ball, taht was a huge oart of our teams game,
i guess as long as he keeps up with the run and gun style he will be ok in my book! GO PANTHERS and welcome to UWM Jeter.

jeter....
between him and dunlap i think he is the better choice. but jeter still would not be my first choice. i dont see how bo ryan and his son can co exsist in the wi system. but then again jeter will have the upper hand in recruiting kids in wi and in chicago. i would say he would have an advantage over bp in recruiting kids wi. but not able to pick up great junco likes bp. moving on.
i know he says he plays an uptempo style of basketball, but look at what hes been coaching for the past 3 years. WI, and they play a nice slow patient (lets wait till there are 3 seconds left on the shot clock) and have wilkenson pivit for the 2. you can guess he will most likly use the uptempo style but not to the point of the past year which works very effective in the HL. once he starts to bring in his own recruits and build his own team i could see him switching over to the slow wi stlye of basketball which can be very boaring and does not win all the time. especially with teams like DET coming through with cotton and belle playing against us we would not always out match them. same thing with loyola. they are shaping up to be a very athetic team in the future. they might as well switch over to the press with that maja guy. hes fast and he has a wing span.
my final thoughts! im a yankees fan! take that you sox fans!

Those that don't think Jeter would run an uptempo style don't realize what was run at Platteville (both when he played and coached). It was full court D, with up-tempo offense, running the break, and pulling it back out when nothing's there. Hmm, what does that sound like?
The reason UW hasn't run that style is because they haven't had the players to do it. Seriously, could you imagine Wilkinson, Butch, Stiemsma, Hanson going full court? There's no way in hell that happens. They weren't athletic enough last year to do it, but might be next year.
Jeter will run up tempo - no question about that.
