If any of the players who have been interviewed in the last couple of days are reading this, I just want them to know that they have handled themselves with the media incredibly well. McCants in the Journal Sentinel today, saying that UWM will be fine and will always have the Sweet 16 banner, and all of the other quotes, were so classy. No pr person could have scripted these guys better than they are doing on their own.
And it had to be so hard, especially because the attention went off them too fast after the last game, and then all they were being asked about was the coach. I thought that when Pancratz sort of said on TV that the players, after all, were the ones on the court who won the game. He and the others should know, if they're reading this, that we all know that, too -- and that they will always be unforgettable when the name of the coach and where he went next may be in a UWM trivia contest!
We will never forget that the guys were the ones out there scrambling and getting bruised and bloody and taking the trash-talking and not letting it make them lose their game. We are so looking forward to seeing them play next year, no matter who is the next coach, and to having them continue to speak for UWM so well.

Couldn't agree more with that!
BTW, I took my son to the ucks game last night. It bored him to tears. He told me it was no where near as much fun as a Panther game.
Credit for that must be shared by the players, and the fans. The players give us something to get excited about. the fans, and especially the students, are electric. There is a real buzz when you walk into the building.
Props to all involved.

I couldn't agree more!! This team is really one full of really great guys. I know I was upset when I heard about Bruce, but not because I thought the team would be any worse without him...As much as I was in that student section chanting for Bruce, I was there to see the team, not the coach. These guys know how to play, and how to play hard, and that won't stop just because they have a different coach. We have 7 very dedicated seniors that all deserve a big congrats, and thank you for everything they've done, and what they've accomplished. They are going to go out there this year, and just tear everyone up! Good job guys, and you truly do deserve to be commended for the level of maturity you all handled this whole thing with. You certainly do have fans who are there for you, and not just on the bandwagon, and I, for one will be there this season loud as ever!!!! ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I think the Panther fans on this board are also classy. The way all of you have handled BP leaving is unbelievable, and I can only hope that I would do the same thing.
If/when BP leaves Tenn for greener pastures, I can only hope to show as much class as you guys.
Take care, and Good Luck to all of you UWM fans

I would have to agree with what's been said on this thread...with the exception of the Joah statements regarding "I'm the man around here." It sounded a little Deon Sandersish to me. He could have stayed a bit more humble.
