that idiot at ESPN joe lunardi has UWM as a #14 seed! that is the biggest BS i've ever heard. if UWM wins the HL tourney, they should be a #12 seed in my opinion. if the Committee really puts you guys as a #14 seed, that's just blatant ignorance... link: sports.espn.go.com/ncb/bracketologyplaying louisville in the first round isn't something to look forward to, either...ouch.

I'm not putting much stock into Lunardi's projections since it's common knowledge that the committee doesn't want possible repeat matchups in the second round ... and he continues to have Wisconsin and UWM in the same pod.
If UWM should win the next two games, there's a strong possibility of the Panthers being a Top 25 team heading into the NCAAs. Can't see a Top 25 team being a 14 seed.
Mayur, I think you're right on your 12 estimation.

That is wrong...They had UWMs record as 16-11
UWM will get a 12 seedif they win the tourney and will win in the first round, mark my words

Sorry to say but we don't really know how good UWM is. Their SOS is rather low. They have only played 2 top 25 teams, winless, and no top 25-100 teams.
With that said. A seed lower than 12 might happen. This will give them the ability to surprise a top team in the first round. Their press could destory a team that is expecting a tune up game in the first round.
I wish them well. First they need to win tuesday, obviously.

Looks like the best seed we'd get is a 12, more likely a 13. But, that all depends on what happens in other tournaments. Take So Ill losing, for example. While it hurts UWM's at large chances, it likely increases our seed, should we win tomorrow.
And, by at large chances, I mean that HIGHLY unlikely chance of an at large. Let's just take care of business tomorrow night and let the chips fall as they may.
GO PANTHERS!!!

I don't know about anybody else but I would much rather have the 12 seed. The 12 always upsets the 5! ;D ;D I think last year at least 2 maybe 3 did it. Manhatten was one of them.

The statistic is something like at least one 12 seed has upset a 5 in the past 16 years. That's not including years that more than one 12 upset the 5. Personally I would love that 12 seed. A 14 might be a pretty rough game, and 13 is just a bad number.

Mayur is very right about this. A No. 14 seed would put us at the same level as Big South champion Winthrop and below Ivy champion Penn and the champions of the Patriot and America East. What a blatant load of East Coast bias! The Horizon League deserves better.

Historically the NCAA has not treated the Horizon unfairly...
2000 Butler (12)
2001 Butler (10)
2002 UIC (15)
2003 Butler (12) UWM (12)
2004 UIC (13)
A 12 seed is most likely a safe bet. Assuming a vicoty tomorrow.

Agreed. I'm predicting a No. 12 seed (provided, of course, that we take care of business tomorrow).

Well look at the current 5 seeds that Lunardi has:
Utah(23-4) Pitt(20-7) Florida(20-7) Nova(21-6)
I for one want a 12 seed, but 3 of those 4 teams can really play. I think we can beat utah AT, James and Ford would have their work cut out for them with Andrew Bogut. However I would choose one of those 4 teams over Louisville, who Joe has us playing right now.
but thats just my $.02

Dropped us down to a 15 seed (even though it says 14...he has us playing #2 Duke). This guy is a moron. Does anyone know how close he was last year to predicting the bracket?

If I remember correctly, he was close on the better teams ... but was far off on lower seeded teams. I've said it before ... no lower than 13 with a win tonight. 12 more likely ... 11 still possible if things play out right this week.

Having us as a 15 is a complete joke.
Looking at the other teams that are in, and those low-major conferences who have yet to play, there are 11 and possibly a 12th team that will finish with an RPI lower than ours. If we win tonight, we're no less than a 13 seed and potentially a 12 seed due to our road wins and last 10 (or 18) games. Granted, our SOS hurts, but that doesn't bring us down to a 14 seed, let alone a 15 seed. No way in hell.
Lunardi should be shot (in the leg).

Agreed.
How in the hell would a team with an RPI in the 50s get a 15 seed?
Christ, the way he's going we'll be packing our bags for Dayton next Tuesday.
