I know this will probably be a easy win for the team looking back on our 1st meeting with CSU. However I hope our team isn't overlooking them as much as we are. We need all the momentum we can get rolling into the conference tourny. I for one don't want to put our NCAA hopes on the selection committee, so we just need to take care of CSU and then handle our business in the conf. tourny. Go PAnthers!

At the radio show bruce sounded serious about making sure we win these remaining games. Citing, he remebers in the 2001 season how they could of won regular season champs but they lost too many games in the last stretch of the season. Saying that left a sour taste in some of the guys.
He also notes the significance of beating CSU. Saying, that if we dont beat CSU our Hawaii win doesnt count. He also believs that winnning out is important when it comes to getting a good seed in the NCAA tournament.
Bruce has has multiple reasons why this game is siginificant which should keep the guys on the right tract to another W.

CSU is not a team to over look. they're much improved since our first meeting. i've heard them compared to loyola in terms of improvement and we all saw what happened not long ago. this is the kind of game that typically has let down written all over it... but the one thing i took away from listening to BP the other night was that it sounds like his team is focused like a laser. so i'm guessing he's drilling into them all week that this is not a team that we can afford to take lightly. i just want to get through this game with our health and a W.

CSU is a damn tough team especially at home...I would not overlook them at all...When I saw our remaining three games I thought this was the game I was the most scared about...They need to come out and play the ball we know we can play and take care of business the way a good team should and then roll into the tourney confident and rolling high and kick some serious ass and go to the dance and win a game or two:) UWM Sweet 16 Cinderella this year??

This is the type of game we would've lost last year. We can't afford any slip-ups.

well, CSU losing to Loyola last night kind of helped our cause. they needed that win and a win over us to secure a home tourney game. with that out the window we'll see what they bring saturday. it will still be a battle.

www.cleveland.com/sports/plaindealer/index.ssf?/base/sports/1109241259221151.xmlafter reading this article the game may have gotten easier. westly apparently has jumped ship and didnt show at the loyola game. if i am correct most teams will suspend him for at least 1 game for something like that. so he should be suspended for our game, unless csu doenst care if their players just skip out on games. this is a break for us, but its always hard to hear when stupid sh*t like this goes on

I'll temper my remarks somewhat because we still have to play them. That being said, this should seriously jeopardize Westley's place on the all-conference teams. Before he missed 1 1/2 games down the homestretch of the season by his own choosing, I considered him a lock for first-team all-conference with Ed, Joah, Banks and Schilb. Now, who really knows?

it seems like this was the right call to make. you have to wonder how CSU will respond? this could go one of two ways: they'll play inspired and try and prove they're fine without Westley, or they'll collapse early. i kinda doubt the latter happens. they just barely lost to Loyola who we've all recognized as probably one of the most improved HL teams. even though we should win going away, this game still scares me a little. there's just no room for error at this point. let's hope milwaukee comes out as focused as we've seen them of late. it's important to win this one with another week off and the tourney around the corner. we need the momentum... and there's that whole, shred of hope thing for the at-large.
