Just thought Id post some information I have been collecting throughout the day so you can see what you might be in for if we dont get the Cleveland or Indy sites for the opening rounds...so included I have put the flight prices and drive times to every location...as well as the price from Chicago and Milwaukee.....another thing the thurs-sat games are leaving on the wed and coming back on sun..the fri-sun games are going out on thus coming back on sun....most airlines want a sat stay over...prices are more expensive in most cases then...also I included prices from Midwest in case you have some sort of bond with the hometown airline however they do not fly every where we could play...also drive times are from Yahoo maps
Drive time MKE ORD
Indianapolis 5 hrs ---- ---- Cleveland 6 3/4hrs ---- ---- Nashville 9.5 hrs $237 $109 $232 MWA ----- Charlotte 13 3/4 hrs $213 $247 Ok. City 14 hrs $373 $223 Worcester/Bos16 hrs $273 $207 $259 MWA ---- Boise 29 1/2 hrs $335 $317 Tuscon 30 hours $422 $395
Maybe Im just a little excited but this can kind of give u some sort of feel as to what your travel arrangements could be if you went...hope it helps a little

I've already concluded I'm driving should UWM make it and get placed in Indy, Cleveland or Nashville.
If UWM gets placed in Boston/Worcester or Charlotte, I'm flying. Oklahoma City, Tucson and Boise -- I may be out of luck.

Anyone know if UWM will be trying to set up a package for the tourney (NCAA or NIT) similar to what they did for the Hawaii and Manhattan games?

Good work, Kroener 3535. However, we may not be so lucky on the low air fares. Keep in mind that when we get within 14 and/or 7 days before the actual flight, prices tend to be higher. In some cases, considerably higher.

Unfortunately yes prices do rise closer to your flight date....Oklahoma city isnt that far of a drive...and really neither is Charlotte...but I do agree that Tuscon and Boise are probably out of the question for me anyways unless they do set up a charter or flight package...I guess I could really see the university or the athletic dept chartering a plane...I could really see 100 people jumping on a plane...but keep in mind the NCAA is implementing the pod system again I believe so Im guessing we dont end up in Boise or Tuscon...but then again Wisconsin two years ago played out in Washington or Oregon or some place way out west....booo on the selection committee if that happens

I missed my last chance to follow the team into the NCAA tourney because I had already made plans, but not this year. I've made plans not to make plans so I could follow the team. I can't wait, i will be driving if it's under a day's drive and flying if farther. I have family in boise, and friends in phx, but i hope the the game is close!!! it's gonna be crazy. I don't care who were matched up against were going to the sweet 16!!
I believe they played the badgers played in new mexico

I missed the game in Indy two years ago, but plan on making it this year. I have been to Cleveland and Indy several times, I can recommend some great places for Panther fans to meet up. It is very exciting to think and chat about....I just hope we aren't jinxing them.

tuscon is farther south than phx, but if you are on the freeway you actually take the 10 East to get there. The drive is a boring 1-1/2 to 2 hr drive depending on traffic and your speed, highlighted with a large airplane graveyard, and old mission.

Tuscon would make for a better road trip, but Clevland would be a bit cheaper, I'm goin reguardless of where they go! I agree sweet 16 or bust!

for sure! im glad i haven't made any concrete plans yet. I was at the Tourny game two years ago, and although we all know the outcome, it was still a fun bus trip and a great experience. I can't wait til this year, and hope to make a return trip to see another tournament game.
