I was at the game last night and heard some people say that a few times. That really is the dorkiest thing I have ever heard. I loved it that there was a great student turnout, but saying that stupid line over and over again is not just annoying, but it makes us look like DORKS. So whoever says that all the time, please stop!

I have unfortunately been busy today. I finally get a chance to look at the board today, and nothing but whining and complaining!
Let's celebrate the win, the impressive play of our bench, and start looking towards tomorrow nights game.

so fan22 you got a better idea of to say??
i mean if that is so dorky maybe you have something that will work better and make me look cooler, since that sounds like so much more fun.
why is it that you think it is so dorky? would you rather me telling the ref that i think he f***ed up the call and is a big piece of sh*t in those words cuz i bet that nothing will happen to me. whatever man.

all i have to say is the reptition of all of our cheers gets pretty lame after awhile.......i only know of a few people who are willing to learn new cheers, however the rest of the masses of people who attend games and have no idea what we are chanting don't pick up on things and just go along with the UWM and defense chants.
i really don't dislike the "i disagree" cheer but yet again the repetativeness is old.
it would help if our cheerlearders had a clue to, but oh well
later all

I'd rather be a "dork" than yell out "shoot him like the horse" or 'shoot for two, OR SIX" <- now that's stupid...
I didn't hear that comment last night but come on, we were in a very JESUIT school... and if you were there and couldn't tell, just listen to the all-so-famous Jesuit trivia questions. Did anyone else feel kinda dirty during that? I'd felt like I was less of a human for not being Jesuit.

yeah the shoot for 2 or 3 chant is a great chant.....i don't harldy ever hear anyone else use it, and then we had to go and be stupid and add the count up. Its ridiculous !!

could we please stop debating this issue, the only issue is we need to get loud all at once. This is a dead issue and should be dropped, I really don't care what people say as long as they say something.

i agree with 6 man i think that as long as people are getting into the game and making noise, lett em say whatever they want within reason. Last year the i highly disagree with your call ref was funny for one play and that was because there was so much swearing going on in the student section, i believe it was harker who yelled i highely disagree with your call ref! and that one time it was funny, it was a mood lightener and should have been killed after that, but whatever who cares issue should be dropped

this is somewhat on topic, but whatever. I was watching College Gameday and they had a story on how bad fans treat JJ Reddick at away games. from Maryland chanting "F***you JJ" to Wake Forest having a sign that says "I had sex w/ your sister" (whos 12).
basically our fans aren't bad at all.
as for us being dorks? it is probably more of a problem that the refs are so horrible that the "dorks" HAVE to say something so often than the "dorks" saying it at all. take that into consideration.

I saw that as well on Gameday. Interesting stuff.
I also remember a story a couple years back on how bad student sections were getting. I think it was Missouri, on how this group would do complete family background checks, all sorts of stuff into every player. They would also get into the stadium like 3 hours early.
I enjoy the 'disagree' yelling. It is politely letting the ref know you don't like his flava'.
So what if it isn't 'cool' or it is 'dorky.' You should never be too COOL when you are in the student section. I mean who wears face paint on a daily basis (except clowns)? I don't think much is out of line or stupid when it comes to college student sections. Yes, there are times when student sections can cross the line, but in in this context.

I think it's a great thing to say. In fact, I think anytime you can get on the refs, or opponents without resorting to swearing or being vulgar, you are to be commended. It's easy to say, "That call F*ing SUCKED!", but be creative, don't swear, and I think you'll get a lot more respect. If you even care...
