The officials were horrible last night - period.

Sid and Tim are atrocious. I think Hutch had money on Loyola for a change, because normally every one of his bad calls go against us. He's a joke, though talking to our coaches afterwards, they think Sid is the worst in the league.

Glad that you agree OC. I don't think they were "out to get" anyone/either team..........they were just plain all around horrible. There were some calls that went against us that were bad (i.e. Hill's fourth and fifth fouls), but there were some that went against LU that were bad as well (intentional on James breakaway). Just a poor showing, no way around it.

I could at least understand that one since he came from completely behind James. The one in the first half? I have no clue what the refs saw.

You are right, the one in the first half was just crazy! I don't know what they saw there. The one against James looked marginal in "real time" but I watched it a few times (taped the game) and it didn't appear to be overly aggressive at all. The guy went at Wright's arms - abeit hard - but it was nothing malicious. If he would of went at his head, or cut his legs out, I understand the call, but it didn't seem to be a big deal.

I think the one on Wright was intentional because it's tough to tell in real time, so they probably thought since he came at him from behind he wasn't making a play on the ball.

The intentional in the first happened right in front of me, that was a brutal call. There's nothing wrong with fouling hard if its clean, and, truth be told, Logan didn't even foul the UWM player that hard; by the time the play was over, Logan had his arm around your guy to keep him from falling over. That was by far the biggest extent of the physical contact; they were both going full speed, so things tend to look worse than they are. The second play I didn't get as good a look at, but that was definitely the final nail in the coffin.

The refs were not that bad. I was at the game and also watched it on DVR today. We got away with alot also, this was not that bad of a refed game, no where near the uw-gb game.

I thought the refs called alot of touch fouls and some of the intentionals they called were a bit unnecessary. However, I think they were consistent and called it both ways, hence the foul numbers being one apart from each other. I feel they did a pretty good job all around. I have seen much much worse in my days of watching UWM....ie: Eugene Crawford

Eugene or as I like to refer to him "Gary Coleman" has got to be the worst ref in the horizon league.........well IMO it always seems that he has some vendetta (sp?) against us and seems to be really basis toward the chicago schools, don't really know if it just me being paranoid but i don't really think it is
