Not much can be said after this game, the just flat out got beat - no way around it. It seemed like they coasted and were waiting to "turn it on" ........... but were never able to. You have to hand it to BU though, they did what they had to do to win, namely they shot lights out! What is up with our free throw shooting? Simply terrible. Also, we didn't rebound the ball real well last night, or pass it well. There were a lot of shakey passes, and not very many assists. We need to just forget about this game and regroup and put the wheels back on the bus. How many of you watched the game on TV? Was that a low budget production, or was it just me? The lighting was horrible, the sound was terrible (sounded like the commentators were in a library, not a basketball game), and the play by play guy was marginal. The color commentary guy (Darnell Archey) did a pretty good job - it was obvious that he was new to announcing, but I thought he did well.

i like how their announcer kept saying, "he thinks about it" every time a player got near the 3 point line. FYI from websters dictionary Main Entry: classy Pronunciation: 'kla-sE Function: adjective Inflected Form(s): class·i·er; -est : ELEGANT, STYLISH <a classy clientele>; also : notably superior <a classy outfielder> - class·i·ness noun I am confused.

i just hear our fans described as classless by certain people. i just dont think that class is something that you see in any basketball croud. we may be rude sometimes but its a basketball game and im a fan. im gonna yell as loud as i can and try to help my team as much as i can. class is defined as "Elegance of style, taste, and manner." if someone wasnt to tell me how elegant UIC fans were when we went there or how elegant Butler fans are go ahead i just wont believe you. for example when hinklefan says our players are classless in their actions when 2 butler players have technical fouls called on them he should think twice. i guess i just dont like that word used in this context...

Hell you guys lost with the ref's on your side in our house! Both technicals were rediculous.. The first was called on Smalligan after hitting a three.. he turned around and said something to whoever was defending him on the play.. it really wasn't much, and the ref called him on it.. I don't think people in the stands even knew what was happening, because it such a horrible call. The second was called on Lightfoot, late in the game, when one of your guys, or actually several of them either fell into Monserez, or pushed him down after a basket was made.. I think it was Tucker (they were going at it all game, and several times, Tucker bumped or got into peoples faces) when lightfoot ran over to break up the ensuing scuffle, the ref called him for a Technical.. This is when Pearl and Lickliter got into it at half court.. The ref's on our side? were you watching the same game? what about all those moving screens that your post players used to free up the 3 point shooters! That was just plain B.S.! Every single three point shoot taken was at the advantage of a moving screen! I'm not trying to make excusses for why we lost I'm making the point that we in no way had the ref's (if you want to call them that) on our side. Ohh and by the way darnell sucks as a broadcaster!
