Last night's victory, while its still a victory, wasn't very impressive. We were relying too much on the perimeter offense. We have to regain the inside game that we once had in order to have an impact in the post season. I know Dylan is hurt, but even before that we were loosing it a little. Its only a matter of time before a team comes along that will be able to shut down our perimeter shooting. If we can get back the "in the paint" points, then we have a two dimension offense that is very dangerous.
What does everyone else think?

I agree, however, our "inside game" really is just DP and Joah. Joah had a bad game last night, and DP is still hurt and probably felt more comfortable shooting from the outside rather than getting banged around inside by McMillan. I understand that Adrian and others may get a few baskets inside, but I don't think we can really work them and call it an "inside" game. Also, although Nate has played great the past few games, he also isn't someone that you can just dump it down to and expect him to get 15 or 20 from the block. In order for our inside game to be effective we really need Joah to play well. But, I do agree that getting points in the paint (at least a few) is critical to our success, specifically how Ed plays. It is much easier for Ed to get going if the D is not only worried about him, but also the middle. Along those lines, I think we really need to work DP in the middle more often. Don't get me wrong, he has a nice shot and him stepping out is critical in our offense, but there is really no one in the league that can stop him on the block.

Shouldn't have two outside shooters like DP and EM open up the offensive opps inside? I realize if they are off then the D lays off a bit more, but I'd think as a perimeter minded team you'd still have more opps and at least looks inside besides JT.

Not to disrespect anyone, but who else are you going to throw it to inside? I think I like my chances with DP or Ed taking outside shots moreso than asking Nate to consistently make moves on the block - same with Adrian. I think those two guys are crucial to our success, but they are not "go to" guys and shouldn't be asked to be such. If we get 10 points from them great, but neither is really considered an inside force on the offensive end, IMO.
I see what you are saying, and agree with, the fact that making outside shots should free up the inside a bit, but it is hard to take advantage of that with the team that we have.
