Went on the uwmpanthers.com and seen a new page with our accomplishments at the cell and in it as well as a cool pic reads "The floor, which was new in 2001, now has a black border with gold lane lines to reflect the Panther's presence as a permanent tenant at the U.S Cellular Arena. At center court, a circular floor insert has been added that reads "University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee" around the outside with the Panther logo in the middle. The Horizon League is also recognized on the floor in front of the team benches. Previously, the floor has been blue with no team specific markings or logos." for more and the pic go here uwmpanthers.collegesports.com/sports/m-baskbl/spec-rel/092304aaa.html#landmark

i thought the court looked good last year but this will certainly improve on it's appearance. the logo will be the finishing touch. can't wait to see it in person (and see that Sweet 16 banner!!!).

To me... that is reading as if the the initial plan was going to include the logo and text. We all have seen that isn't the case being that there is a big plain yellow center circle.
I am hoping that they did put the logo and text in for this coming year.

what do others think about having an enlarged logo inside the 3 pt. line? its a gamble b/c it works w/ some logos (Boise State) and fails miserably for others (Colorado State).

I'm not so sure about the logos inside the 3pt arc, but what does everyone think about having the entire floor be a huge logo made of really small logos? seriously, why do you guys ask questions like this? as long as our team is winning games, they could play on a neon pink and green court for all I care.

why's a moderator slamming someone elses post here? there's been far worse questions asked on this site. it's a forum for discussion.

I didnt mean to slam, but I get urked by posts for the sake of posting and not creating real discussion.
I did end up giving my honest opinion about the topic though.

asking for others opinion on a topic that's related to this thread isn't considered "real" discussion?

I think the center court will be new though because all that information on that page is brand new...that page was created since the season was over..so Im optomisic to be honest

It's nice to have a good looking home court, it makes you feel better. Does it make you play better probably not; but it's a recruiting tool. What young kid wants to play at a gym his high school was better then?

why's a moderator slamming someone elses post here? there's been far worse questions asked on this site. it's a forum for discussion. Yes and asking why someone would ask that is promoting discussion. I dont know why everyone is so sensitive about a moderator experssing his opinion. I think it was a stupid question because i think that that huge logo under the 3 point line is hideous regarless of the team. not to mention it would be hella expensive to replace that much of the floor. back to the the thing about a moderator slamming someone. What if n8 wasnt a moderator you would be ok with his post then? why should a moderator not say how he feels just because he is a moderator? None of the moderators on this board are banning people or censoring people undeserving of it. there is no rule on this board that you cant disagree with someone. n8's post didnt personally attack anyone, he said his opinion. he could have deleted the post he disagreed with, but that would not be the proper thing to do for a moderator. The moderator's job as i understand it it to keep the board free of spam, severly harsh personal attacks, Lewd Comments, and other things of that nature. Its not any moderator's job to agree with everyone, not state his opinion, or to baby people who cant handle critisim. Everyone should treat the moderators as normal people on the board, which most of us were for quite some time. I m not trying to offend or "slam" anyone with this post i just think some the moderators have been getting to much flak latley. feel free to disagree, after all it keeps things interesting on here.
