Are we still in the running for this? I heard from someone that we were, but I don't necessarily trust this person's opinion (too far removed from the purported source).
Anybody heard anything?

making the sweet 16 does nothing for UWM's status as a mid-major. UWM will be in the Bracketbuster next year, and for Bracketbuster's eternity for all I'm concerned.
its been a debated topic before, and it stands that there are positives and negatives about being part of it, but for a growing program like ours, it only helps us show that we are top dog Mid-Major.

look at southern illinois who went to the sweet sixteen probabley 4-5 years ago yet even with thier national ranking last year...were still in the bracketbuster....we are probabley here to stay in the bracket buster

I would think they are in the BB to stay, but think of it this way Panther fans, it will probably get us a ESPN game pretty much every year! And thats a good thing

The BB gets some good exposure w/the "mid-major" programs. Plus it's on TV and I can make a "Send $$$ Mom sign!"
