I can let the Freeman thing go, but how can someone associated with this league not vote Lundy? Wow. Incredible miss.

OK, I'll bite. I didn't think B.J. would get first-team all-league honors for various and sundry reasons, some esoteric. However, I thought he would lose out to either Warrick or Godfrey, not Enaruna! This frickin' league!!!

If only B.J. had performed well against Cleveland State this season ...

Bart Lundy missed out on coach of the year because the Panthers did not win the regular season title. Most likely, that is what it came down to. If he/we could only have the end of the last Green Bay game back.
And yes, Calhoun had a bunch of seniors/graduates. He deserves full credit for putting a team like that together. YSU's net rating is 114. MKE's is 209. If YSU wins the HLT (and that is a big if), it will be seeded in the dance higher than any other HL team.
Of course, if they would have an award for Best Turn-Around of a Team by a Head Coach Award, Lundy wins hands down.

I look at Milwaukee with the 354th experienced team and YSU with the 15th experienced team and falling 1 game apart in the league standings. I'd say Coach did a better job than Calhoun did in terms of expectations and situations.

Except if Bart has the team foul late one game milwaukee wins the league. Hard to be mad at the dude who won the league at youngstown winning IMO. Only 1 panther on the league teams is lame.
Have to imagine this coming down today is a bigger motivation for the team then anything. I know id be pissed if we just got 2nd in the league and only one dude is on the 2nd team.

Without regard as to whether B.J. and Bart deserved first team HL and COY honors, this team has played with a chip on their shoulder all year, and it seems to have largely worked. Just add this to the list of reasons for them to have a chip on their shoulders.
Let’s hope that shoulder chips lead to championships.
I’ll see myself out after that line.

First off, congrats to Rand. Nice to see you get the recognition you deserve for being a force on defense. Keeping other teams out of the lane has been no worries for us.
1st place for Youngstown St is arguably more difficult than the turnaround Lundy made here in year 1. lundy’s first year has been more than any rational person could have hoped for, and it was truly an impressive achievement. YSU has been the punching bag of this league for years. It’s close, but I get why Lundy didn’t win. Next year.
BJ should be first team IMO. Trey Calvin scored a lot. BJ was the best all around player on the 2nd place team, and helped in a variety of ways. I hope we get WSU on Thursday.
