Who else is actually excited about the game on Thursday being played at the K? I think we’ll be able to create quite the homecourt advantage there if we can get 2-3k people to show. But that all depends on the guys giving us a chance to get into the game. I hate to be the bearer of bad tidings, but it sounds like the weather is going to be a mess. Ugh! Winter Storm Warning is 9am Wednesday thru noon on Thursday. Temperature will be cold at the game. Road should be fine for the game.

18 wins would be a heckuvan accomplishment for a new coach in the league, who retained what, three players from the previous roster? Yes, it would be disappointing how the season ended, but overall, a VERY successful season.
Large successes are often build upon smaller successes. Talent is drawn to success. Fanbases are drawn to large successes. You can look at 18 wins as not as successful as we perhaps envisioned earlier in the year, but to not view it as an overall success would be a pretty short-sighted.
The staff is now familiar with the opposing teams and the rigor of the schedule. We should now be a known entity, and therefore, have the ability to schedule more quality games prior to the conference schedule. Coach will have more opportunities to bring in "his guys".
Most of us were saying after the hire that it would be 2 - 3 years before we'd have a chance at being good. I'd say we're well ahead of schedule - even if we lose out.

I’m going to have to disagree with you there (at least about what’s in the cupboard not mattering). PBS was fortunate to be hired very late in offseason, making it a huge risk for any of the remaining players to transfer. He inherited Stull, Nze, Bell, and Prahl (not to mention guys like Barnes and Jeremy Johnson). It was Jeter’s and Jordan’s team, being coached by PBS. Even PBS could only corrupt their basketball abilities enough to bring them down to 6th place. I’m not sure that there was a single PBS recruit on his first team. On the other hand, Lundy had to basically start over with 3 holdovers (who mostly came off the bench) and a redshirt. The only major contributor from last years team is Markeith, who played the least of the three holdovers from last year. I guess what I’m saying is that PBS’ first year is nothing like Lundy’s first year. Better comparisons would be the LaVall year (last place) or PBS’ second year (last place). Obviously I’m disappointed in the teams performance last week, and if it continues for the next three games, I’m sure the phrase “here we go again” will whirl around in my brain. But in all reality, Lundy either exceeded expectations or ended up on the high end of expectations this year. I think there are people on here who are more certain about him than I am, but it does certainly say something good that his finish in the conference in his first year is the team’s best standing in conference play since 2011-12.

That would be a 5 game losing streak. 6 of the final 8. That would be a major disapointment to end the season. For me the manner of the losses would matter too. Three more unwatchable games like the last two would leave a bit of a bad taste. Being at least competitive in the (hypothetical) upcoming losses would be somewhat easier to stomach. Let’s hope for the best.

It would be a failure. I don’t care what the expectations were to start the year because as soon as the games start expectations change. We were 14-6 and looked like the best team in the conference and have looked awful since. Idk if that says more about the players or lundy himself that we have only gotten worse over the last month but good coaches should show improvement throughout the year.

This is a team where 3/5 of their regulars are freshmen or sophomores. They exceeded expectations early and probably thought this was easy. They have a lot to learn themselves. Bart, I'm sure, is trying to teach them, but they have to put it on themselves.
Joe Theismann once said, "Being able to deal with success is probably the toughest thing you can do."
Still, yes, we could and should be better this year, but if this leads to more future success, then stuck it up and enjoy how far we've come in just one year.
