So, Lundy is a coach that doesn't foul up by three? I was extremely disappointed to see that as well. That CSU 3-pt attempt to tie the game in the final seconds *nearly* went in! Meaning we were extremely fortunate and *LUCKY* to have won, when all we had to do was send them to the foul line while up 3 with seconds left. Terrible strategy - or lack of execution. Hopefully next time Lundy finds himself in that position up 3 with seconds left, he has the team foul before they can get a great looking 3pt shot off! My thought on this is that if we fouled, we are then up by 1 assuming they make both of their FTs, which they were confidently making towards the end of the game. Then we get the ball back and they foul us. And we were still in a 1 and 1 situation. We could have easily missed the front end and then only been up by 1 and CSU has the ball with a chance to win. So while I agree that fouling when up by 3 is normally the right thing to do (still can’t believe CSU let BJ get 2 attempts to tie towards the end of regulation)… given the circumstances of us not yet being in the double bonus, I actually liked his call to just roll the dice and let them shoot the 3. I think Lundy was playing chess while the rest of us were playing checkers. At least that’s what I’m telling myself to justify it.

JT was the unsung hero tonight. That rebound/pass to BJ to tie, top of the key 3 to go down 1 and those 3 straight pressure free throws. JT has proven multiple times he is a winner. Here are some examples of different ways he got it done, all in the waning seconds of regulation: * Game winning three against UC-Davis * Sticking on Detroit's Antoine Davis like glue while defending against a potential game tying shot * All-in-one rebound/pass to Freeman for a game-tying shot We can see why Bart Lundy got JT to play for him again this year.

Turning point was after the under 11 minute mark down 44-35. Upsettting watching the team stand around on the defense of end and not getting a rebound. Zach Howell hits a three at 10:40. Defense gets more energy and was forcing turnovers. Not sure why it took so look to turn on the energy switch in that 2nd half. I don't recall when exactly, but I believe it was right about that time as well. Rand finally had a couple blocks on two possessions in a row, or near to being in a row, and that seemed to energize the D, and seemed to start a patch of multiple minutes where CSU didn't score.
