Ryan tallied a team-high 17 points and nine rebounds late Thursday as Cincinnati Moeller completed a four-game sweep and won the Santa Barbara Tournament title over top-ranked Pasadena (Calif.) High, 44-34. Predictably, Ryan was named the tournament MVP. Second-ranked Moeller plays top-ranked St. Xavier a week from Friday and Akron St. Vincent/St. Mary's (you might remember the name) a week from Saturday. Go, Moeller!

ANyone know what Childress' current ranking is? After the weekend MVP at the Cali tourny, it has to be moving up quickly.
Thanks, -UWMfreak

From what I can tell, Ryan is averaging 20.8 points, 9.4 rebounds and about 2.5 assists per game.

Moeller 15 9 17 13 -54 Ignatius 6 10 16 13 -45
Moeller 54, St. Ignatius 45 Moeller (11-0) - Childress 9 2 21, Gomez 1 0 2, Bennett 1 3 5, Dierkers 2 2 6, Sylvester 2 1 7, Watt 5 0 13. Totals: 20 8 54.
St. Ignatius - Parris 4 3 12, Petrovic 1 0 2, Freeman 1 6 8, DiSanto 1 0 2, Ryan 0 4 4, Paluf 0 1 1, Kirbus 2 7 12, Harrison 1 0 2, Adler 1 0 2. Totals: 11 21 45.
It looks like Moeller rode the back of Childress to win this game. Childress was also at the Butler game this past week.

For those who saw Childress at Turners...is he 6'10"?
When he stood next to McCoy, he definitely had an inch on him. However, next to BIG MAN WATERS, he looked tiny...although every player in the conference will. ;D

I didn't think he was 6-10, but...I'm not a real good judge of that.
Had a very nice discussion both Ryan and his mom, and came away impressed. Basketball skills aside, he strikes me a really nice guy, and his mom is a blast. You can tell she is really excited about the program. In fact, she told me that the excitement around the program is a big reason why he's coming here.
