Not saying it is right but would not be surprised if Braun directed this under the rationale of punishing the mens team at the expense of larger public perspective by saying the womens team earned the home game where the men did not, they got it be default because of the unique UIC situation....or maybe she knew it would be more embarassing to have the band and cheerleaders outnumbering the patrons in the large barn vs the small venue....I dont know....feel like it is pitch forks and torches time to rid us of the burgermeister Mone and the Frankenstein monster Braun....or a petition that could garner thousands of names of alumni and students? Oh what the hell...back to reality...two years from now back to pull out bleachers.....

Paul, are you saying there was not even a PA announcer last night? Best thing that happened sounds like were the brown bag wearers. This is beyond a scandal....I have no words....the horror....the horror.... Brainerd wasn't there. Perhaps he was also at the women's game? It appeared that they had some department intern sit in for him. Sounded like the UIC P.A. guy before the great Ray Clay took over. That was Patrick Reed. He works for Marquette. |

No you’re wrong the one he finished sounds more like it you goofball!!!!! Since you wanna talk silly bro!!!!! Am I talking silly or just talking the truth that you don’t want to acknowledge. Should we really believe you who’s son started the fight and had to be dragged out by multiple assistant coaches along with being the reason another player missed significant time. So who was fighting? Markeith and JT? |

I agree....what I meant to say is dont care who started it or even that much who the players were....the thing is that it is important to know that a fight occurred as it reflects on the coach and the program for sure....just dont need to go down the further gossip rabbithole with specific names, back and forth on who caused, he said she said etc etct

So I sat next to the Vice Chancellor for UIC and their AD was at the game last night, he may have got a kick out of AB gladhanding in the "pit" during the game. She for sure noticed my disapproved head shake at her while i got my stale chips at halftime.
As for on the court. This team has a lot of quitters on it, from the PB's to some of the players on the court and the rest of the pathetic coaching staff. Saw more fire from the coaching staff whining about the kid coming off the bench then just about anything else this year. No reason to keep PBS when you could scoop one of the WIAC coaches and do better.
Really Sad for Bol he was starting to play well late in the year and I enjoyed his game a lot. Also liked Newby in streches this year but he was really bad last night. Hope to see him back but wont be surprised when he goes somewhere else.

I told what was said to me they’re ready to go home and get ready for spring break nobody wants to be here anymore. Who’s the blame? Lets not act like this team didn't give up long before last night. Plus and I hope you don't take this the wrong way, your selling of wolf tickets about dishing on the programs disfunction on this board has become laughable on here. Every single poster here is well aware of the dumpster fire that this program is. Your son also got to earn a very solid education from a great school and your posts sometimes come across as if the university somehow wronged your family. All of us want the program to be as great as possible but stoking the flames with crumbs seems played out. This team was one of the worst teams in college hoops this year thats not only on the coaching staff but the players. |

i was at the game, frankly one of the few local media, in any fashion, to cover the game. that very well could have been the least fans I have ever seen at a UWM game, in all my years of watching, and that includes dead of winter or mid-November games, and this was a PLAYOFF game. a win or go home game! "Pathetic' doesn't begin to cover it. Yes they had a lead for most of the first half, but they could never get it above 4, and couldnt get any shots to fall. they were 11-33 from the field at one point, and didnt shoot any 3s. the difference in the game was UIC shot and made 3s and we didnt until it was too late. baldwin should be fired, heck a responsible and effective Ad would have fired him last season. Why should we endure another season where we barely get to 10 wins, our home attendance all season will probably be less than 10000, and Baldwin will continue to trot out lame excuses after each L?

There was a fight in the locker room and obviously an overall lack of institutional control (and bluntly, interest) in the men's basketball program here. Do we really need to know anything more?! |
