I don't think Paul Plinske would be interested.
Maybe Grimace can retire from McDonald's and take the helm.

I don’t have names to suggest but only because I suspect Charlie Gross is very happy in Montana.
My God, can you imagine how much better off our program would be here if Charlie had been running it for the last 10 years? When you hire qualified people with great character, the sky’s the limit.

Yes, his name is Barry Richter, former hockey player and currently on Executive Management Team of a prominent Madison based independent insurance agency. From all I hear a super guy and solid executive albeit with a competitor of where I am employed!!!!

My God, can you imagine how much better off our program would be here if Charlie had been running it for the last 10 years? When you hire qualified people with great character, the sky’s the limit. The football coach that he hired has turned around Carroll College's fortunes by going 6-4 in each of the last two full seasons after the Saints went 4-6 in the previous four and the basketball coach he hired has led them to a 28-3 record and the Frontier Conference title game this year just three years after going 29-8 and playing in the NAIA championship game. He certainly still seems to have the touch. It's really quite simple: a good person atop the department who hires good people equals good results.

Although this article from June 2020 seems to indicate he was AD at that time.. www.chieftain.com/story/sports/2020/06/08/csu-pueblo-athletics-adjusting/113420116/Maybe his titles are just a little non-standard. As far as I can tell he just got a new title, maybe for a pay raise (I'd like to think we could top whatever he's currently paid*- $220,000/year is not chump change), but he's still listed as CSU-Pueblo's AD: - Colorado State University Pueblo, Vice President for Athletics and Strategic Partnerships (2021-present)
- Colorado State University Pueblo, Director of Athletics (2018-2021)
Anyways, it is time for a change. Broken record... Let's see what happens I guess. No where to go but up, up, up. Aha - www.csupueblo.edu/news/2018/03-27-paul-plinske-new-ad-athletics.html"Plinske signed a four-year contract with an annual salary of $135,000, which ranks third highest in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. He will lead a Department of Athletics that serves more than 500 student athletes and 22 athletic teams, including a $7.7 million budget."
We can DEFINITELY DO THIS. Not only because of the guaranteed big salary boost, but because he has Wisconsin roots, has already been vetted and knows our struggle. And his contract is up very soon...

Paul Plinske would not be a good choice. He's been at two Division II schools and had little success it seems. Let's get an up incoming option rather than a retread that we passed on twice already.

We passed on him twice because our chancellor was completely disconnected from the athletic department. Plinske raised a sh*t ton of money for facilities improvements at Nebraska-Kearney. He would be fantastic. Paul Plinske wouldn't be a candidate because he's not interested in getting burned a third time.

I don’t have anything against Weber but what makes him qualified?
