Well good game. At least from a defensive perspective. It sucks we didn’t win. I think we should fair well in league play if we play defense like this. Defended the perimeter well. We need to figure out an offensive strategy. Any strategy at all will do. That said, if PBJ has another good 3pt shooting game, we win.

Totally winnable game. We just fell apart at the end.

Unfortunately, games are 40 minutes.

Colorado ends the final 5:20 on a 14-2 run. Seen that ending before.

More from the PAC 12 Network play by play guy:
"There is no ball movement for Milwaukee"

PBJ got embarrassed in the last 3 minutes of the game, and honestly it's because he's not being utilized correctly by our coach. He also - which is his fault - plays at 80% intensity, and lazily stands around waiting to take a 3, which I think is why his teammates hardly ever pass him the ball - and I don't blame them!

It's amazing that his dad has no idea how to use him. He shouldn't be putting the ball on the floor. He needs to be running off screens or playing near the high post. Shameful waste of his skills.

I only caught a little bit of the second half of the game on the radio, but it sounds like PBJ and Gholston both had bad to really bad games, and Milwaukee was within 4 minutes of winning on the road against a Power 5 team. I’m sure a lot of this is that Colorado simply isn’t very good, but maybe there is some actual improvement on this team. I feel like the Panthers would have lost by at least 20 a few weeks ago (even with PBJ) but they lost by 11, and that doesn’t come close to telling us how close the game actually was.
Or maybe I’m just a bit optimistic on sports after attending an Admirals come from behind victory tonight.

I will admit I don't have an eye for NBA players. Can someone tell me why PBJ is considered a lottery pick next summer? Other than 6-6 from 3 against RMU, what has he done against average D1 collegiate players so far? I am not asking rhetorically. I would really like to know.

This game was won by strategy: theirs AND ours. Tad Boyle laid it all out in his postgame interview. "He hit the two open looks we gave him and he looked like an NBA player doing it. On all the rest, we crowded and bothered him and forced him to miss." Often the reminders that he's a freshman are not so subtle. Fortunately for him, the NBA drafts on potential and he's a preternatural shooter for a player his age and size.

Valiant efforts for 35 minutes don’t cut it when a program is sucking wind as badly as this one. Colorado is not really very good as their previous scores against teams rated similarly to us show. Yet kenpom predicted a 12 point win for them, and there it was.
URI is the last chance this season to get a win against a top 100 team.

Agreed on all points, but don't forget that Oakland is #59 currently. Having just watched their Bowling Green loss, I truly believe it was an abberation, and that they deserve that #59 ranking.

Oakland is currently 118 in Pomeroy. I suppose if they string a lot of HL wins together they might sneak into the top 100. I’ll believe it when I see it.

I was using the NET. I love KenPom, and both are used by the selection committee, but I think the NET may be more favored by them (for maybe not the right reasons).
