Yikes, our press break is still beyond awful. This game is looking good but it certainly isn’t over yet.
Why don’t teams press the Panthers all game?

A rising tide lifts all boats ... above the level of Robert Morris.

Winner winner chicken dinner!
Picked the right day to bet ON the Panthers for a change.
Glad another losing streak is over. Have a nice Saturday everyone!

The Panthers played better in the second half. PBJ dominated in the first half, and it was more of a team effort in the second half. PBJ will get the headlines with 26 points, but JT had a quiet 19. Gee, we really could have used him in the last few games.
And as critical as I’ve been of Lathon this year, he had a nice game. Two big threes but much more importantly, he had double digits in assists. I’ll give PBS some credit for playing him a bit today.

Only you guys could be upset about us having a five-star player who’s a top-10 pick in the draft. We are winning, enjoy it instead of constantly complain about your off the wall theories. It's not a theory for those guys to mention that he took too long to commit and it hurt our chance to get a strong team around him. If he had committed in November instead of May, they could have surrounded him with world-beaters. This literally happens any time a top-10 commit picks a school outside the high-majors. It happened at SMU, WKU, it happens every time. Guys want to win, and if they see a top-5 commit to a program in the Horizon League, they know they're going to: #1) play in front of NBA scouts at every single game, and #2) whoop the absolute sh*t out of the competition and maybe go deep in the NCAA Tournament. We could have had a roster that is "Baldwin Sr.-proof" and loaded with so much talent that they win the conference basically just playing pickup basketball pick & roll. Instead we've got the same supporting cast, which wouldn't be so bad if the coach wasn't one of the worst game coaches most of us have ever seen. The lack of preparedness of this team to beat the press is maybe the clearest example of coaching failure I've ever seen. Most of the people on this board would describe Rob Jeter as an "average" basketball coach, and he had a few teams that would have trouble early in the season breaking the press. But at most - at MOST - his team would eat the press alive by the third game they'd see it. Baldwin's team has now faced the press in five or six straight games and they haven't yet figured it out. What an embarrassment. I'd be embarrassed if I couldn't coach a team of talented basketball players on how to break the full court press. It literally takes ten minutes per practice until you get it right, and it's such an easy concept that most players have no trouble retaining what they're supposed to do at any point. That's "thetruth."

No player is "stuck" anywhere anymore. That, and if you have a group of good (not top level) players on your team, there’s a good chance they mesh well together even without the top level talent and want to see how far they can get the following year. Or perhaps some Graduate transfers or Juco transfers would consider coming here.

I think they are finally finding a rotation of players they can rely on. Im not sure we've had a full healthy roster all year.
I'm actually surprised they adapted to the zone pretty well. I'll give PBS credit on that.

This is registering very high on the list of possibilities! Yup, I’m thinking I gave PBS too much credit by saying it’s 99.99% unlikely. Any way we can start a chant of “Bring in Gholston” or “Bring in Thomas” at this game? This is absolutely ridiculous. Jordan Lathon has shown so far that not only does he not deserve to start, he does not deserve to play D1 basketball. Lathon had 10ast, 9reb (4 turnovers though)- today. Sometimes we get hyperbolic. (myself included)
