NO worries. Refer to the Path to Prominence manifesto, aka as cya or collection of cliches....we all trust our administration and Amnanda, right?

June, 2023
The month scares the bejesus out of me.
The Arena deal with the WCD ends, A.B.'s contract expires and Mone turns 65. Ouch!
Our chancellor's office, by the way, is located on HARTFORD Avenue. Yikes!!!

Tiny private university in a city the size of Madison. Their tuition is over $40,000 per year. I don't mean to say that we're in great shape or anything, but these aren't comparable. They've got over 200 full-scholarship student-athletes. That's something like $8 million a year just in scholarships, forget room and board. They're going to go from spending that money to bringing it in. They have 287 student-athletes right now. If you drop that number to, say, 200, that's a $16 million swing. I'm not saying we shouldn't be better with money or that our program is run well; I'm just saying that if you're looking at Hartford as an example that this program should expect to drop down, it's not an apt comparison. Our university administration's perpetual apathy towards athletics, combined with the inability of the athletic department leadership to build the strength of revenue programs (and possible revenue programs), would be what eventually takes this program down. On some level, it's kind of remarkable it hasn't yet. There's a reason Hartford is dropping down and Green Bay isn't, even though they're both small schools. The answer is money. Green Bay is a public school, so their athletic department isn't crazy expensive. This is why Morehead State is literally the only public member of the Division-I non-scholarship Pioneer Football League. The cost of scholarships at private schools is so much more, so they joined together as a league and field their teams as non-scholarship to instead use it as an opportunity to drive money towards the university (think of the income from ~80 football players and a marching band paying their own way at a private school). It's also the most viable option for us to get back into football, since the scholarships would just about pay for the team on their own. The biggest reason we haven't? No one gives a crap about the Pioneer League. I feel bad for all the Hartford people. It's never a happy day to find out your program is losing any claim to relevance. But it's better than the university shuttering its doors.

1 school out of 350 plus D1 schools. Wake me up, when we get on the second hand of the count.

Easy big fella, just pointing out how a University that is hurting can easily drop down to D3. My guess is Milwaukee athletics ain't exactly a cash cow...

C'mon people. Dropping from D1 to D3 could never happen at UWM.

Some of us learned it (or didn't, apparently) in 1980.

Speaking of being scared...any truth to this?? I’ve feared an extension more than this, so I’m ok with this.
