If Arizona had any thoughts of firing Miller before, they should have done it last week and went after Moser. No way any strong candidate will take that job right now. Arizona is looking at multiple years of postseason bans and scholarship limits. Notice how Mark Few had been a "candidate" when the job was open last time, but now people are pushing Gonzaga's top assistant. I think they should go with a program guy. Damon Stoudamire has done all right at the University of the Pacific, which always has to deal with Gonzaga (and now BYU) as big budget programs in their conference. Seemed like he was going the right direction with Pacific before this year. Arizona isn't going to get a top tier candidate. Might as well go with someone who will stick it out. I'm guessing Mighty Mouse would coach his alma mater as long as they'd let him.

For reasons we've already discussed, I'm not sure this is actually all that relevant...but I'll post anyway

Maybe this is why things are taking so long to solidify. A quid pro quo here? Can look at it two ways, lost opportunity but also for some on this board chance to make a clean break though the main two problems exist in either case, administrative myopathy and Amanda Braun

oh oh ....not so sure depending on salary It would almost definitely be a paycut. And PBS probably has more job security if he lands PBJ than Collins does. If Scheyer gets a HC gig, I could see PBS being probably the #2 candidate behind Wojo...depending on the wording of Wojo's buyout (all assuming Nolan Smith is an internal promotion for the spot created by Nate James leaving)

Golding & Abilene Christian beat Texas in the NCAA Tournament. That made Shaka available for Marquette, which created an opening at Texas. Chris Beard filled that and hired Rodney Terry as an assistant, which created an opening at UTEP. Now Golding takes the UTEP job, filling the opening that he indirectly created.

Can't help but think there's some parallels between us in 2016 and ETSU in 2021.
