They won the dang game! That's primarily what we wanted. Let's not lose sight of that.
With our depth, I like our chances in each of the nitecaps this conference season.

Love the new players too. I know it’s early in his career, but Newby reminds me of Panthers great, Boo Davis. I hope he keeps developing his whole game, but he has a pretty shot already.

Wasn't pretty, but a win is a win. Can we have these officials every game? Love that they just let the guys play for the most part. Te'jon might mess around and win HL player of the year, he was incredible today. Let's do it again tomorrow! Also, we need to work on our free throws.. Free throws are actually not the problem... except for Lucas. 14-17 today and he had 2 of the misses. And of course the big miss at Kansas State. But when you’re as good as he is, I’ll let it slide. Aside from today, 21-28 from the FT line against K State and 15-21 against Western Michigan. So overall thru 3 games 50-66 (75.8%). It just seems worse because of the misses late in the game. Gotta get in the double bonus for the end of games! |

Agreed on the new players. While I don't love his in game coaching (it has improved a bit though imo), he has done a solid job recruiting. This team has a ton of talent and the new guys all have a ton of potential. |
