I had a conversation with Pat Miller former Michigan State player and NBA shooting coach a few years ago. He had moved to Milwaukee with his wife who got a job here. We just met and hit it off talking basketball. He wanted to help coach a city conference team. He was prepared to volunteer his services. I told him to contact Coach Gosz at Rufus King. Gosz was a neighbor of a friend who I had hired to work part time. The two hooked up and that is how Pat met Marc Mitchell. He told me that Marc was good enough to play in the NBA and quite frankly quite better than many. He said coaches thought Marc was not strong enough and too small for the rigors of the NBA. Coach Miller said they were wrong as they are about many players. This was before the D League, G League, and every other path available to players today. Congratulation Marc, one of the best to ever wear the gold and black and yes Craig Greene deserves a spot on that wall.
