With 13 games left to play, Milkmen are 50-37 a half game behind KC for the best league record. given that there are 4 playoff spots in each division, and the 5th place team is 8 games behind Milwaukee, it would take an epic collapse over the last few games for the Milkmen to miss the playoffs. The only team in the division that has any remote chance of catching them is Chicago and they are 3.5 back.

With 5 games left to play the milkmen are clinging to first place in the division, by a half game over Chicago. who has 1 more game let to play. both teams have clinched their playoffs spots and 1 more win would guarantee no worse than second for Milwaukee. the first place team gets to pick its first round opponent, which ended up coming back to bite Chicago last year after it picked Milwaukee.

from looking it up, the first tiebreaker in AA baseball is head to head, and Milwaukee beat Chicago 8-4 in the season series. so in the case of a tie, the Milkmen would win the division. right now the milkmen are up 7-6 in the bottom of the 8th and Chicago already won today so both teams currently are 53-42.

The milkmen win, combined with chicago losing a doubleheader , has pushed Milwaukee's lead out to 2 games with 3 to play. since the milkmen won the season series, 1 more win would clinch the division since the best Chicago can do is 56 wins, and the milkmen have 55.

Milkmen ended up tied on record with Chicago. Milkmen chose Kane County as their first round opponent. Game 1 is tomorrow in Milwaukee , Game 2 is Friday on the road, Game 3 if need would be Saturday on the road. Chicago plays Cleburne in the other series. so the series are 1 vs 3 2 v 4 in the East in the West. Kansas City chose Sioux falls, so those series are 1 v 2 and 3v 4
