What are your thoughts on adding St. Thomas, Augustana and/or Southern Indiana?

Totally agree on the travel partners, Big D. Do you foresee round-robin play for next season?

Adding more conference games and getting schools that are in the footprint, in ways makes the league better. Yes, there is not a school coming in that by their volume of wins makes the HL better. Sure, there is a team or two in the Summit that would help. Yet, why would they leave? It would also hurt the footprint.
I sure hope the HL goes to 22 conference games. ACC, Big Ten, Big East and Pac-12 are all going to 20. You also add in their holiday tournaments and such, not much is left to find non conference games. Having 11 home Horizon League games would be actually pretty neat.

This is a huge positive for the league, and it’s a move that makes us better. Robert Morris gets us into the Pennsylvania market. They are a decent program with recent success. (Some name recognition) I wouldn’t expect a better option to present itself anytime soon, so I’m glad this is our 12th team regardless of the reason.

I have always been an advocate for keeping a small footprint. Expenses should be held in check. The cost of intercollegiate athletics, except with regard to most Power 5 schools, has gotten way out of hand. A while back when GCU was rumored to go to the HL, I was all for it for totally selfish reasons. It really never made sense though.

My brother-in-law and deceased father-in-law are/were named Robert Morris.

Horizon League teams will play the Colonials twice — giving each league team 22 games on their schedule. League games would start in December.
YSU coach said, Horizon League is encouraging its members to get more home non-conference games — 55 to 60 percent.
