Northwestern's Chris Collins is rumored to be the top candidate to replace recently fired Danny Manning at Wake Forest.
If Collins leaves will NU come sniffing around Milwaukee?
Baldwin Sr. and Baldwin Jr. to Northwestern?
Oh the tangled web that my two schools weave.

They have a solid group of sophomores this coming year, so it will be interesting to see if Collins leaves. He was an assistant there already, so I think the only way he would go there would be for the head coaching job. Other than his son, I think he has to prove a little bit before they would offer that to him.

PB was an assistant at NU for five years. PBJ grew up in and around the purple. In fact you can see PBJ in one of the greatest plays in NU hoops history. He's the (tall) ball boy right under the hoop at the 1:40 mark: www.youtube.com/watch?v=f4gugzAwJfg

Well, according to Les Johns who covers Wake for 247sports.com Collins isn't a candidate for the WF job.
Darn. Carry on.

I’d be more worried about Northwestern needing PBS to land PBJ than anything else. Not a good look to have to hire a subpar low major coach to land a one-and-done player. Do they fire him at season’s end?

Do they fire him at season’s end? NU can't do much worse than they did this last season. The thought is that PB brings PBJ who brings some of his buddies (Christie) who aren't one and dones.

There is approximately a zero chance that any Big Ten team would hire anyone with a 37-58 record as a head coach. There’s also no reason Wake Forest would want to hire a guy whose record was basically the same or worse than the coach it just fired.

There are certainly Big Ten teams who would hire Pat Baldwin in order to land Pat Baldwin Jr. They'd just hire him as an assistant...

I wasn’t going to say anything but PBJ is coming to Milwaukee as long his dad is there!!!! That's great. I'll temper my enthusiasm until he's publicly committed. This was always going to be the best bet at getting any success during Baldwin's tenure as coach. At this point, I'll take a one-year of a great team as long as he doesn't get an extension based on it. I wanna see success without having fathered any players on the team before we even talk about something like that.

Baldwin told the Tribune he is having most frequent contact with six schools: Milwaukee, Duke, Northwestern, Michigan, Georgetown and North Carolina. Milwaukee is believed to be in the lead.
