According to sources, former Panther and Washington High great Billy Ross fell victim to the coronavirus yesterday. I don't know of any pre-existing health conditions that he had. He led our '88-89 team to the Elite Eight of the NCAA Division 2 tournament along with Andy Ronan, scoring 23 points and pulling down six rebounds in the Sweet 16 victory over host Northern Colorado. The Sherman Park area appears to be getting hit very hard. The team should have been honored a few years ago. He was 53.

A very good player. Think he took Washington to State his senior year. Classic tweeter, about 6’4” and tough as nails. My condolences to his family and friends. These are tough times.
