Normally, I’d be excited about this, as I think Robert Morris is a good add to the conference and the possibility of 22 conference games improves our overall schedule.
It’s just hard to get into anything basketball wise when we don’t know when it will be safe to go to these games again.

I'm paying my season ticket money per month. So, I'm planning on a season. Good sign by Badger football fans that 85% did renew their tickets. So, people seem ready.

I am thinking of getting that 8$ per game flex plan that they came out with, but I am going to wait a little longer due to this COVID stuff.

If there is no fans going, people will get their money back. Not sure if that is what you meant by COVID stuff. To me, there’s a significant difference between whether games are open for fans and whether the conditions make it safe for fans to attend these games, and I don’t trust the NCAA to put their athletes, schools, or fans above the almighty dollar. The situation now, based on new cases and deaths, isn’t much different than it was in March and April, and even if I’d be willing to risk my health to go to a game of some sort (such as a Milkmen game) right now, doing so would also put the health of the people I share a grocery store with in jeopardy right now. Of course, I will say that I’m an idiot for buying my season tickets for next year already when I’d say it’s more likely than not to not be safe to attend these games. If it is safe to attend games this season, it should be a fun one. I love MTEs... I went to all 6 games last time. It’s always nice to have an MVC team visit, and I’m looking forward to seeing Robert Morris (and to a much lesser extent, Fort Wayne) in conference games.

Well, everyone has a choice to themselves to make. I'm ready. I would feel safe at games. For the most part, most people don't have the virus! We must protect our older people and folks who have serious health risks. The sad case which has been said for years on this board, isn't the games already social distancing.

In my household, all three of us are in our 60's and 70's. Therefore, we are in the vulnerable demographic and we have to be very careful. Having stated that, I would probably go to Panther games at the Arena because I could social distance. I will not likely renew my season tickets for GCU games this season, because I could not social distance there (and darn it, they just announced they will host ASU this season).

I could see social distancing working at the UWMPA. Churches are making sure that every other pew is empty and then only filling out the edges of the rows, so I’m guessing that any sporting event will have the same restrictions until then. I could see trying social distancing at the Klotsche Center being a mess if they tried it. Even with our small fan base, if even a few hundred come to a game, 1/4 of the Klotsche Center capacity would still only be about 700 (?) seats (I know the listed capacity is 3,500, but I’m not sure it could hold that many in normal times), and I would imagine getting in and leaving would be quite slow. As mentioned, it would probably have to be season ticket holders and family only... and maybe a limited number of students?
I do not envy the athletic department right now.

At the Arena, where capacity is 10,783 but crowds are routinely in the low to mid-hundreds, social distancing could easily be accomplished if restrictions are merely implemented and enforced. The question that begs is how many more years are university administrators going to consent to pay the freight for such an arrangement?

The question that begs is how many more years are university administrators going to consent to pay the freight for such an arrangement? Hopefully for years to come. The Arena is great. Food, drink, scoreboard, seats, the history. The KC is not a real place to play. Everything stinks. The players hated it. Not good for TV production. No food. No drink. No scoreboard. No seats.

If you've been to a game at the Arena the last few seasons, you know that social distancing WILL NOT play a role in the attendance. UWM won't need to make any changes because quite simply, the games aren't well attended, yet. I wouldn't worry about season tickets or anything else. If fans are allowed, we should be in good shape. We aren't Butler and Valpo in their hay-day in the Horizon when their home games were packed. Those also were the teams that traveled really well too. Too bad we don't have that anymore.
