Welp, I might be done watching for the year. Absolute waste of my time. How different things would be if Holtmann never left Butler.. How different things would be if ANY of the following weren't the epitome of incompetence: Santiago, Lovell, Koonce, Costello, Geiger, Mone, Eva ... Did I miss anyone? Fire everyone! Let's start over ... before it's too late!!!

Did we fight, fight, fight against a really tough team in a tough place to play tonight?
On the bright side, a fantastic win for the Badgers tonight. I distinctly remember having a conversation with some other Milwaukee fans back when GB was looking for a coach and Gard got interviewed. I made the remark that we should be very worried if he got that job and they all vehemently disagreed and said their only wish was that he NEVER get considered by Milwaukee.
Well fortunately, he didn't get the GB job. Unfortunately, we don't have a prayer of ever getting a coach as good as he is again.
By the way, do you think the AD will extend PBS by two years or just one if he wins a game in the HLT?

Regardless of what happens against Youngstown, Milwaukee is gonna finish with more wins against Top 5 HL teams than bottom 5.

By the way, do you guys know what our average Division 1 record in a non-Bo, Bruce and Rob year is? 12-18. So we're pretty much on pace since the Great Purge at 12-20. Well done!

See, this is what people don't understand about Amanda Braun. She's a traditionalist, and the way Bo, Bruce and Rob dishonored the perennial losing tradition of UWM basketball bothered her. So obviously, she had to fire a winning coach so she could take us back to the grand UWM tradition of 12-18 seasons!
FIRE AMANDA BRAUN!!

You aren't giving our fantastic AD enough credit. You think 12-18 is a low bar? By God -- she's lowered it! 12-20, baby! FIRE AMANDA BRAUN!!

Throw out the wins over WLC and Concordia. We're 10-17 against THIS schedule!!! What's our best win? At UIC?! That’s the problem. This team has had some decent wins this year. At UIC. UIC at home. At YSU. At Green Bay. One thing Baldwin does ok is recruit talented players. But then they are wasted by lack of progression, a lack of an offensive scheme, a defensive scheme that gives up 50% shooting to Cleveland State. And a team that looks so apathetic. I can’t be the only one who saw the stark difference between Cleveland State’s loud and interested bench and our bench with their heads down. The players don’t care anymore... at least not as much as other teams do. And that’s a lot on the players but a lot on the coach too.

In the spirit of Justin Lettenberger, here's a common theme we've seen with this year's team failing to close out games by making good decisions and being disciplined: vs. Western Michigan up 76-71 with 0:19 remaining in the game, Josh Thomas fouls, DeAndre Abram misses 2 free throws, Milwaukee allows a 3-pointer and it goes OT and then 3OT. Result: 115-110 Loss vs. Rice tied with 13:10 remaining in the game, Rice goes on 14-6 run and never trails again. Result: 75-69 Loss vs. Drake up 43-38 with 11:54 remaining in the game, Drake goes on 18-10 run. Result: 56-48 Loss vs. Wright State up 57-55 with 3:31 remaining in the game, WSU goes on a 10-4 run. Result: 65-61 Loss. vs. Green Bay up 90-89 with 0:26 remaining in the game, Milwaukee allows an offensive rebound, commits 2 turnovers, and Green Bay goes on a 5-0 run to finish the game. Result: 94-90 Loss. vs. Oakland up 58-53 with 8:45 remaining in the game, Oakland goes on a 16-1 run and never trails again. Result: 75-68 Loss. vs. Detroit up 48-36 with 1:00 remaining in the first half. Detroit goes on a 25-4 run and never trails again. Result: 79-73 Loss. vs. Cleveland State up 68-65 with 1:09 remaining in the game, Cleveland State goes on a 5-0 run to end the game. Result: 70-68 Loss. mediamilwaukee.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/05/Braun-Emails_.pdf

I must have missed the bright side. Rest assured, PBS -- being the eternal optimist that he is -- will find one. Here's the reality: he's now 6-18 in the months of February and March, which is when the rubber meets the road.
