Well, glad I did not watch a second of this. Sad to say this loss isn't surprising.

yes he does. i'm not looking forward to those two years, in all candor This still doesn’t make much sense to me. Didn’t they give Jordan a 4 year contract when he was hired? Am I really far out there when thinking that they gave PBS a 5 year contract because PBJ would be in college in Year 5? Jordan had a five year deal too.

But I think we ALL agree that PBS WILL be our coach next year, correct?

Suddenly I'm on the other side of our talk the other day hoping some wealthy Northwestern booster gets reeeeeeeally eager to help Collins!

Keep in mind simply thinking he won’t be fired isn’t the same as wanting him back. Last year he had practically no expectations, this year he had expectations and won’t meet them so he’s going to be given another chance. If she couldn’t fire Rob until he had a year left on his contract, why would she fire her own hires sooner?

No extensions please, barring an unlikely 2014-like late season turnaround or a huge improvement on results next year. But given this institution's history of extensions for mediocre performance, including long before the AB era, nothing would surprise me.

So much to say here.
Here's what greatly worries me on this topic: didn't A.B. herself just receive a three-year extension? We're in the fifth-worst four-year stretch in 130 years of basketball at this institution, spanning 23 coaches, and its architect just received MORE time!!!

Maybe when it's time for a coaching change, Mone will realize he's better at it than her and skip right to the part where he picks 😂😂😂😭

LaVall was a great pick that apparently came from Mone.
TJO also got a new gig, but how much of that was thanks to Nagy landing a 3x Summit League POY for him?

LaVall was a great pick that apparently came from Mone. LaVall was a safe pick. A pick Mone only made because of race.

And it was a HELL of a hire before the fluky way the next offseason played out!

And it was a HELL of a hire before the fluky way the next offseason played out! Sure. Lavall Jordan is solid. Yet, if we are making picks just on skin color, that is very poor.

I kind of have to laugh sometimes when you all go around crowning LaVall. I liked him, too. But lets face facts (I know it's hard for so many of you): He was 11-24, with big assists from Alec Peters and Steve McClain in that HLT. If he were 9-24, you wouldn't glorify him one bit. And yes, I give Steve McClain credit. He's to us what Jay Cutler was to the Packers, practically a human victory cigar. LaVall continues to be successful, regardless of his coaching prowess (which I would rate MUCH higher than PBS), because he has the full support of the Butler machine behind him. NO Panthers coach has ever had that in the history of our university. Bo and Bruce's teams were kicked out of the K for dodgeball and ultimate frisbee even at the height of their powers.
