I would say this is another disappointing loss, but losing has become so expected under this regime, I'm not so sure. The question I have is this: Are we now 3 games into another 11 game losing streak to end the season? No, I don't think we lose out. Our closing stretch includes several winnable games. And that's any different from last year how? It was the same sh*tty conference!

I'm of the same mindset as Nick. I think we'll win at least four of them. The league is actually worse this year.

Roy back in the starting line up. Still stinks. Shot is broke. Lost for words. What is the deal with Shae Mitchell? He redshirted last season. Now, he is not playing this year. It was a game in the 2nd half were he should be getting a run for a spark.
Amir Allen, read my last part on Shae.
Nice to see Tyler get a run. He was the only one that provided a spark.
Today, was bad. Got murdered on the boards. NKY left that door so wide open and the Panthers never took it.

Both games on this homestand the Panthers first foul shot did not happen until the 2nd half. That totally can't happen!

Not to overpreach about our issues with the bigs, but is it a problem that our top 4 rebounders are guards? I don't know enough about college stats to say for sure, but it seems odd.
On a side note, great gesture to allow all season ticket holders to try the 414 club today. That was cool!

Agree about Tyler. He should have been getting significant minutes much earlier this season.

"Tough game tonight, especially on the offensive end," head coach Pat Baldwin said. "We thought we had some things figured out and had some very good looks to start out. But after you get down 13-2, it's going to be hard to win games that way."
"Defensively, I thought we were pretty good," Baldwin said. "We held one of the leading scorers in the league (Dantez Walton/18.1 ppg) to five points and did a good job of getting back into the game. "Just have to get better; another opportunity presents itself Thursday."

"Just have to get better... blah blah blah...."
This is the third year in a row that the roster has regressed as the season goes on. That is called a "pattern," folks.

We now must go 6-1 in order to clinch a winning record and a possible CIT/CBI berth!

first-half scoring output drop from 21 to 19 to 17 points respectively in the first half during its three-game skid
“To be honest with you, I think it’s just confidence,” said Baldwin. “When we go back and look at the film and break down shots, I think our guys are executing. Now, it’s just, if you have an open look, whether it’s from the perimeter or the inside, you just have to make the shot.
“We have capable guys that can shoot the basketball. We have to get Darius out of his slump. Te’Jon, we have to find opportunities for him. He has to shoot more than six shots. A lot of it is confidence early.

Another game of what if? Shots need to fall on the inside. Defense is there and desire is evident. We are a little short on athleticism and can’t shoot a lick against a switching zone. The inside out game is non existent if bigs can’t catch a pass inside. They are trying but are just not good at catching the ball. It is difficult to watch as the defense extends out and gives us the inside game only to watch fumbles and forced shots going nowhere and no fouls being called because we don’t create contact. I don’t think it is coaching but we need better players. A walk on from Germantown has greater court awareness than most of the starters. They are all good student athletes trying very hard. Wish the results were better. Keeping the faith and still enjoying the this silly game.
