I genuinely appreciate the optimism here, but the post immediately above illustrates perfectly the yawning chasm between the two teams. The 2013-14 interior players included Matt Tiby, Kyle Kelm, Malcolm Moore and J.J. Panoske. I rest my case. Panoske didn’t play much that year; there were games toward the end of the year he didn’t get off the bench. But yes, our bigs were much better in 2013-2014. Our guard depth is much better this year than that year. I would take Lucas, Roy, Thomas, Bingham, and Behrendt over McWhorter, Aaron (when available), Niang (when available), Roelke (when available), and Lyle (in his sophomore year). And as much fun as the tournament run was that year, they still finished 7-9 in conference in the regular season. I LIKE this, DTP! In essence, you've just thrown down the gauntlet for this year's team and coach! I'm all for it! Let's do exactly what that year's team did!

Bottom line: A golden opportunity wasted. We've had two games now where the other team's best player was fouled out or ejected with ample minutes left in the game. We've still lost both games. Why were the true freshmen taking the shots in crunch time, when the game was still there to win? In a situation like that, I want Lucas, Thomas, or DRoy shooting. That seems like common sense to me. I don't disagree with any it. Yet, the Brown shot was a good look. CJ also had a good look down low. Roy has been not good in his last four game. He also missed an open look. The guys just need to step up and his a shot in the down the stretch. I would had Tyler in. He made a huge three with about 5 minutes left.
